Who is Kate Silverton?

Let's get into the article of BBC News presenter and journalist known for her guest-hosting work Kate Silverton. In programs like BBC Weekend News and BBC News at One, Six, and Ten, Silverton has already worked. From 2005-2007, she was BBC News 24's primary presenter. 

The journalist was born on August 4, 1970, in Waltham Abbey, Essex, England. Her father is Terry Silverton and mother is Patricia Silverton. Her dad worked as a taxi driver who became a professional hypnotherapist. Silverton grew up along with two siblings, Amy, and Claire Silverton. Likewise, Kate joined West Hatch High School in Chigwell, Essex. 

Upon graduation, Kate Silverton enrolled at Durham University, where she got a bachelors degree in psychology. Soon after graduating, she picked up a certificate in Arabic and the Middle Eastern history. Only after studying journalism, Kate developed an interest in the field. 

Kate had her first gig as a banker before her career in journalism and worked for a couple of years before entering journalism. When she worked on the Look North News show, she got her initial training in journalism from BBC. 

She joined Tyne Tees TV Network from there, where she worked as both a reporter and presenter. Ever since then, she has been unstoppable and gradually moved upon in the success ladder. As for now, she has already interviewed key figures, including Cambridge's Duke, Prince William, and many others.

Husband: Mike Heron

Forty-nine years old Kate has a very exciting love story as she is happily married to a guy Mike Heron. Unfortunately, there are not many details about her husband. However, her spouse Mike is a former Royal Marine member. There are no details on when the pair fell in love. However, the couple tied a knot in 2010.  

Out of 140 guests, 20 were couple including former apprentice Saira Khan and comedian Cleo Rocos were the attendance of their wedding. 

The BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC1 News at One station presenter looked like a princess, dressed in her amazing ivory, silk Mikado gown with lace sleeves and a long veil. Kate surely had a fairy, tale-like magical wedding. 

Mike Heron and Kate Silverton Children 

Silverton gave birth to a baby girl on November 5, 2011. After four unsuccessful cycles of IVF, her baby daughter was eventually conceived naturally. Silverton had been informed that she was unlikely to get pregnant naturally after losing an ovary during an operation to remove a cyst at the age of 29.

Silverton announced on January 25, 2014, at the age of 43, that she was pregnant with her second kid. She used to break the news with her Twitter account, saying: 

"Mike and I are delighted to share that this summer Clemency is set to become a large sister." "Mike and I are very happy to share that Clemency is set to become a big sister this summer." 

On June 26, 2014, their second baby, a son, was born.
