Kathy Orr is an American meteorologist reporting for the Fox 29 Weather Authority team on WTXF based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is the first female meteorologist of the Philadelphia television market. She is known for the live broadcast of a Hurricane from a Hurricane Hunter aircraft.

Kathy was born on October 19, 1965, in West Vale, Geddes. New York. She holds an American nationality and belongs to the white ethnic group. Orr spent her childhood in New York.

Concerning her education, she attended Syracuse University and earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. Besides, she also holds a degree in Meteorology from the State University of New York.

Orr is a bonafide member of the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society. Kathy started her career in January 2003 with the KYW-TV as the chief meteorologist. Prior to that, she worked for the WCAU-TV as a weekend meteorologist. She is recognized for her show "Orr at the Shore" which ran for over 12 years on Thursday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Later on, Orr left the show to look after her child. She changed the shift from 5 p.m. to the present day 10 p.m. show.
