Who is Timothy Busfield?

Timothy Busfield is a famous American actor and director. He is well known for his creations and actings like Thirtysomething Mark, Kevin Costner's brother-in-law, Field of dreams, and many more. Besides, he is the 1991 Primetime Emmy Award winner for outstanding supporting actor in drama series for Thirtysomething. 

Talking about his early life, Busfield was born on June 12, 1957, in Lansing, Michigan. Besides, he was born to drama professor Roger and secretary Jean Busfield. He graduated from East Lansing High School in 1975.

In the comedy-drama called Stripes with Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, Timothy Busfield began his career in 1981 as a mortar technician. He also has a prominent television presence. TrapperJohn, M.D. was his first television show. He won an Emmy Award for his performance on the show. Timothy Busfield also has worked in The Darklings along with Meghan Ory and Suzanne Somers.

Timothy has also performed an important role as an actor on the stage. His credits on Broadway include some good men and memoirs from Brighton Beach. Busfield is still active in the entertainment industry. 

Personal Life: Wife 

Timothy has married three times altogether. Busfield first tied a knot with Radha Delamarter, who is also an actress just like him. After spending five long years together, the pair decided to part their ways from each other and divorce in 1986 without giving any details to the media. 

After two years of a split with Delamarter, Busfield again married to fashion designer Jennifer Merwin. The couple nearly spent 20 years together but couldn't keep up their marriage after that due to inconsolable difference and ended their marriage in 2007. 

Busfield remains single for about six years before again tying a knot with Melissa Gilbert who is also an actress. The most interesting fact is, Melissa is also married thrice in her lifetime. 

Ever since their marriage, the couple hasn't been the part of any controversial issues and rumors. Gilbert and Busfield shares seven years of the age difference. 

Children 

Well, Busfield is the father of three kids, two sons and one daughter. He shares his first son Wilson Busfield with Radha Delamarter. Similarly, his second son Samuel and Daisy Busfield with second spouse, Jennifer Merwin. Busfield doesn't share any children with his current wife. His current wife also has two children Dakota Brinkman, Michael Boxleitner from her former marriage.
