If you invested in NASCAR, you must know about Brenda Lorraine Gee. She is known because of her relationship with two celebrated people in NASCAR. Those two people are Dale Earnhardt and Robert Gee. She was the daughter of legendary NASCAR manufacturer Robert and the ex-wife of NASCAR racer Dale.

Virginia native Brenda was born on January 3, 1954. Unfortunately, she is no longer with us. Lorraine passed away on April 22, 2019. Let's take a look at the life journey of Dale's mother as we remember her.

Brenda Lorraine Gee Was A Cancer Patient

When they think of leaving the world, many people want a natural death when they lie in bed and die peacefully. Unfortunately for Brenda, her last days on the deathbed weren't easy for her and her family as she was a cancer patient.

As per NASCAR's website, which got the information from JR Motorsports (the company Brenda worked at), she died on April 22, 2019, at age 65. Robert Gee's daughter was in North Carolina when it happened.

JR Motorsports posted a small clip as a tribute to her on Twitter following her death. In the tweet, they wrote:

Miss Brenda, we thank you for the all memories and the laughter. The office won’t be the same without you. Rest in peace.

Net Worth & Earnings of Brenda Lorraine Gee

Brenda's estimated net worth is believed to be $5 million. Like her father and ex-husband, she also chose to work in the racing field, not as a racer competing for first place but by working at JR Motorsports.

JR Motorsports is a racing team company with a fair share of success. Her work at the company must have massively contributed to her wealth. The company is currently co-owned by her son, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and daughter, Kelley Earnhardt Miller.

Brenda Lorraine Gee Was Previously Married To Dale Earnhardt

Brenda's marriage with Dale Earnhardt is no secret to NASCAR fans. Dale and Brenda officially got married in 1972. However, their married life didn't go as planned, as they quit their marriage in 1979.

Although there is no information available on how these two know each other, it could be speculated her father might be the reason these two know each other since, of all the fantastic cars Robert Gee made Dale Earnhardt was one of them.

Brenda Married William After Divorcing Dale

Who could Brenda Lorraine Gee have fallen in love with if not a NASCAR sensation Dale? Well, after ending her marriage with Dale, she found comfort in the arms of William M. Jackson Jr.

The two exchanged their wedding vows in 1985. It is believed that her husband works as a firefighter, but there is no authentic source to confirm this information, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Brenda Lorraine Gee's Father Is A Respected Name In NASCAR Community

Brenda Lorraine Gee worked with cars, and it would be safe to assume her father, Robert Gee, might be responsible for getting her daughter to love it since he loved cars. So, who is her father, Robert Gee?

Robert Gee is not a new name for NASCAR enthusiasts. The man is highly regarded because of his contributions to its development. He used to manufacture cars that would be raced on tracks.

He is responsible for some of the best cars, including working with his daughter's previous husband, legendary Dale Earnhardt. Brenda's son Dale once tweeted a picture of his grandfather and his father when they had won a race. The tweet read, "Here's granddaddy Robert Gee's #17 Camaro. Him and my father pose after a win in the mid-70s".

Brenda's Ex-Husband, Dale Earnhardt, Died Longtime Before Her

Brenda may have found peace now that she has left this world, but she had to witness her previous husband die before her. Dale Earnhardt spent most of his life on cars and tracks; the same thing he loved also became the reason for his death.

Dale's death is an even more tragic one than Brenda's. He succumbed to head injuries while racing at the Daytona 500. Per the report published on ESPN, the man crashed his car into the wall on the race's final lap. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

NASCAR's president Mike Helton officially announced tragic news to the fans. He said, "This is understandably the toughest announcement I've ever had to make. We've lost Dale Earnhardt."

Brenda Lorraine Gee's Children

Brenda's marriage with Dale may not have lasted long, but they did have two babies from their short marriage. She had a daughter named Kelley Earnhardt Miller and a son named Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Kelley is the older of the two, having been born on August 28, 1972. Her younger brother was born two tears later, on October 10, 1974. Both of her children are also invested in NASCAR, like their parents. Kelley co-owns JR Motorsports alongside her brother Dale. But Dale Jr. is more than just the owner of the racing company.

Dale Jr. is a racer much like her father, and he is more than just the product of nepotism. A now semi-retired racer is the NASCAR Hall of Famer (the list that also includes legendary Tony Stewart). Throughout his career, he won 26 Cup race victories.

He did not go on to have the same impact as his father, and Dale Jr. himself feels like it. He has said that Dale Sr. wouldn't be much impressed with his career if he was here. Per an article published by Kyle Dalton for Sportscasting, who took an excerpt from the Associated Press interview, Dale Jr. said:

I think he certainly would be happy and proud, but also typical Dad going, ‘Well, if you try a little harder here,’ or ‘If you had done a little different there’ and ‘Maybe you should prioritize this,' That’s exactly what I would expect from him and I would welcome that type of criticism today.

Brenda Lorraine Gee's Son Was Involved In The Plane Crash

Brenda Lorraine Gee's son is a plane crash survivor. It would be pretty tragic if he died in the crash, considering his father also died in a vehicle crash. The incident occurred on August 15, 2019, in Elizabethan, Tennessee.

It wasn't just Dale; his family was also on the plane—his wife, Amy Reimann, and their daughter, Isla. Luckily everyone in the aircraft survived, including the pilots, Richard Pope and Jeffrey Melton.

The reports that came out post-crash suggested that the pilot was responsible for the accident. NTSB concluded that the pilot's failure to calculate the airspeed led to the crash.

The report published in The Tennessean says that the pilots, in their defense of NTSB, said that the plane was quickly slow and hence they were going in speed because of a plane being close to the runway.

Dale Jr. has talked about the scary incident to the media. He said:

Now that you know realities and dangers it will never be the same again. It’s something that you’ll never be able to forget...it’ll never block out no matter how many flights you take.
