Singer Tamar Braxton has been married and divorced twice: The mother of one calls it quits with her fiance, JR Robinson!

Tamar Braxton is best known as a member of the R&B musical quintet, The Braxtons, consisting of her younger sisters, Toni, Trina, and Towanda. Braxton's music career has won her one BET award, three Soul Train Music Awards, and four Grammy nominations. Some of Tamar's most notable hits include her hitmakers, If I Don't Have You, Love and War, and Calling All Lovers.

Born on March 17, 1977, in Severn, Maryland, Tamar and her sisters kick-started their conjoined journey as young teens in 1969. Tamar has stood out as one of the best-recognized Braxton throughout the years and even outshined her sisters with her stellar television career, which has won her two Emmy nominations.

Tamar's ardent fans will know about her tumultuous personal life and how it has been anything, but a bed of roses.

From a health scare early into her promising career, her grim mental health, and an alleged suicide attempt, to a bad marriage, Braxton has endured it all. Braxton married music producer Darrell "Delite" Allamby in 2001 after meeting him on the sets of her debut song, Money Can’t Buy You Love.

Tamar's then-husband, Darrell, had a reputable profile for having worked with artists like Lincoln Browder, Silk, and Gerald Levert, but his marriage with the Maryland-born singer changed everything. During their brief nuptial, which lasted merely two years, from 2001 to 2003, Allamby allegedly assaulted Tamar.

"He used to beat me down, mentally and physically," Braxton confessed after she pulled the courage to leave her abusive husband. She added, "The only reason he got away with it then was because I did not know who I was. And I could not make the right decisions for myself."

In 2003, the Calling All Lovers hitmaker was introduced to songwriter-record producer Vincent Herbert, whom she would date for five years before finally marrying him on November 27, 2008. The duo welcomed their son, Logan, in 2013. The pair's marriage was showcased in Braxton Family Values and later televised properly on the spin-off, Tamar & Vince, which aired on WE TV, from 2012 to 2017.

The couple's relationship seemingly hit a major bump after their son's birth and Tamar, like a good wife, and mother, took drastic steps to mend what was broken. The Grammy-nominated singer even decided to retire from her career to save her marriage. "My husband [music executive Vince Herbert] and I work very close together and it’s really hard, you know?" Tamar explained to her fans.

The mother-to-one announced that her fifth studio album, Bluebird of Happiness, would be her last album. "Whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that," said the singer. When Braxton finally decided to pull the plug on her struggling marriage in 2017, the singer said she didn't want to stay married just for the "face value."

After two failed marriages, Tamar experienced a tumultuous and scathing relationship with David Adefeso, a financial advisor. After a brief romantic bliss, the duo's relationship unraveled in the worst way possible, with David filing a restraining order against Tamar for domestic violence. Braxton, who had earlier thanked David for saving her life after a failed suicide attempt, said, "David is amazing but we don't go together."

Who is Tamar Braxton Dating?

Braxton's search for the one continues. The singer-turned-reality star recently ended her engagement with Jeremy 'JR' Robinson, a lawyer, and a father to five kids. Tamar met Jeremy on the dating show, Queens Court, where she hopped to find love with Evelyn Lozata, and her sister Nivea. Braxton and Jeremy bonded on many things, including their similar experiences of having lost loved ones.

By the show's finale, Braxton and Robinson were engaged. "I don't wanna be your friend. I wanna be your husband. I'm here forever because I don’t see my life without you," Robinson said as he proposed to the singer. But less than a year into their romantic bliss, Tamar and Robinson have called it quits already. It was Braxton's now ex-fiance, Robinson, who addressed the swirling rumors about their relationship on Instagram.

"So many questions. So many assumptions. I want to answer all that I can with respect. Yes, Tamar and I are no longer together," the attorney said in his statement. "I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy. What happened and why — that's our private place," JR said before refuting the cheating claims.
