Amber Brkich

Amber Brkich (Amber Joy Mariano) is a television actress and the winner of season 8 of the CBS reality show Survivor: All-Stars. She was born on August 11, 1978, in Beaver, Pennsylvania, and is of Croatian descent.

Before winning the show Survivor: All-Stars, she had also participated in the show's second season, Survivor: The Australian Outback, in 2000. However, she could not win the show and ended in 6th place.

In the 8th season, Survivor; All Stars, Amber Brkich formed a team with her fellow contestant Rob Mariano. The duo were in the dominant group called Chapera Alliance and served as an overwhelming and dominating pair. They became the powerhouse of their team. 

During their partnership, Rob and Amber fell for each other and began dating in 2003. After just a year of dating, Rob proposed to Amber before the announcement of the decision in the show's live final on May 9, 2004. 

And lucky for Rob, Amber accepted it without any hesitation. The show's live finale was at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Eventually, they married on April 16, 2005, at Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas.

On May 24, 2005, covering their marriage, CBS aired a two-hour special about the wedding, titled "Rob and Amber Get Married."

Amber has participated in two seasons of Survivor. They are Season 2, Survivor: The Australian Outback, and season 8, Survivor: All-Stars. 

Survivor: The Australian Outback 

Before Survivor: All-Stars, Amber was a contestant in Survivor: The Australian Outback. In this season, she was a member of the green Ogakor tribe. Among the two tribes, the Ogakor tribe seemed to have been weaker.

As soon as Amber got the chance, she allied with Jerry Manthe, who helped her form another coalition with Colby Donaldson and Mitchell Olson.

Amber was making the most out of her alliance and knew how to bend things to her advantage. But then, her closest alliances were getting eliminated one after another. And at last, Amber was eliminated as most contestants voted her out because she was playing "under the radar." Presumably, others saw her as a significant threat to victory.

Survivor: All-Stars

In this season, Amber allied with Rob Mariano. She was in the Chapera Alliance, which consisted of Rob Mariano and Sue Hawk, and a fellow player from The Australian outback, Alicia Calaway.

During the game, there was a tribal shuffle that would swap contestants to their opposite tribe. However, Brkich remained in the Chapera tribe along with Lex Van Den Berghe, Jerri Manthey, Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien, and Shii Ann Huang. 

Rob and Amber successfully maintained several alliances and ended up in the Final Four, along with Lewis and Boneham. There she won her first individual Immunity challenge. After the elimination of Boneham, Rob won the immunity challenge and decided to take Amber to the Final Two with him.  

Then, Amber won the show with the decision of 4-3 votes and became the sole survivor of the show.
