Amy Siskind is an American writer, spokesperson, and activist for women’s rights. She is the writer of The List: A Week-by-Week Reckoning of Trump's First Year. 

She is widely known for her activity against Donald Trump and his works. Besides, she also advocates for the LGBTQ+ community.

Early life and Family

Amy Siskind was born on 16th December 1965, in Marblehead Massachusetts, United States of America, where another American writer Jacob Bernstein was also born. 

Born to her Jewish parents Barnard Siskind and Lipsky Siskind, she is of Jewish descent and holds American nationality. Siskind's mother is a former president of the Jewish synagogue.

She grew up listening to her family's stories of their life at the time of the Great Depression. Siskind also has four siblings with her, but there are no details about them. One of her brothers is reported to have down syndrome and diabetes. 

Education and Career

Talking about her education, Siskind joined Marblehead High School and graduated in 1984. Later she attended Cornell University and achieved her BA degree in Economics in 1987. Additionally, Amy also completed her MBA in Finance and International via NYU Stern School of Business.

Soon after her graduation, Amy began her career as a Wall Street executive. She also served as an expert and pioneer in the distressed debt trading market.

Additionally, in 2008, Siskind co-founded The New Agenda along with 30 members who were the supporter of Hillary Clinton

The New Agenda is an organization which is focused on the improvement of the lives of girls and women by implementing systemic change the school, workplace, home, and media.
