Anderson Cooper New Baby Born Wyatt Cooper, On Monday he became a Father

Anderson Cooper, the popular host of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° announced the birth of his baby boy on-air as well as on social media at the end of April 30th. His new and firstborn, a son named Wyatt Morgan Cooper was born on Monday, the host announced. 

The newborn child Wyatt was named after Anderson’s late father who passed away when the host was just 10 years old. Cooper also said that his son was born a healthy boy weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces.

The host addressed the birth of his child saying, 

"It has been a difficult time in all of our lives, and there are certainly many hard days ahead," 

1.78 m tall broadcaster further added, 

“It is, I think, especially important in these times of trouble to try to hold on to moments of joy and moments of happiness. Even as we mourn the loss of loved ones, we are also blessed with new life and new love."

The journalist made the announcement on air after the televised weekly global town hall on the coronavirus pandemic telling his viewers 

"I never thought it would be possible to have a child, and I am so grateful for all those who have paved the way, and for the doctors and nurses and everyone involved in my son's birth."

In an Instagram post, he thanked all those who helped him have his baby via surrogacy. Cooper, who is openly gay paid tribute to his doctors in addition to the unnamed surrogate. 

The 52-year-old journalist concluded his post on the social media platform saying 

“I do wish my mom and dad and my brother, Carter, were alive to meet Wyatt, but I like to believe they can see him. I imagine them all together, arms around each other, smiling and laughing, happy to know that their love is alive in me and in Wyatt, and that our family continues.”

Anderson is single as of May 2020, he recently split from boyfriend of one year, Victor Lopez in mid-2019.  Before this, he was in a relationship with Night club owner Benjamin Maisani, 47. However, the two broke up in 2018 after one year of dating.

In addition, the CNN reporter Cooper has also been rumored to link with Andy Cohen,51. But they have neither confirmed or denied the rumors of their relationship.
