The Wildfire in Australia is showing no sign of slowing down!!

After-effects of the bush-fire in New South Wales (NSW) are bringing drought and extreme heat, killing 24 people, and destroying more than 1,000 homes. Fighting this massive wildfire, a hero, Samuel McPaul, lost his life on December 30, 2019.

Due to the extreme winds caused by the fire, McPaul's truck got rolled over, claiming his life. According to the NSW Rural Fire Service, the firefighter died at the Green Valley fire ground. Along with the 28-year-old Samuel, his colleagues also suffered injuries; however, McPaul is the only one to die.

When this devastating news found its way to the ears of Australians and people all over the world, everyone prayed for the well being of his family. In the aftermath of the death, NSW RFS wrote,

"This is a devastating loss to Samuel's family and his broader NSW RFS family. Samuel was a young man with his whole future ahead of him..."

The news became even more saddening after the world found out that he was about to become a father to a child. According to People Magazine, his wife, Megan McPaul, is pregnant with the couple's first child. She is due in May, and now it seems like Megan has to prepare for the birth of her baby without Samuel.

RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons addressed the situation at a media conference and said it was 'truly horrific.' She further added, the wind lifted 10 to 12-ton truck and flipped it on the roof.

Many other firefighters except Samuel suffered severe injuries, including burns, and are getting treated at the Prince Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. According to the Huffington Post, McPaul's family is struggling to cope with this loss and grieving. Sam and Megan tied the knot in April 2018 as per reports.

The pair could only celebrate their blissful marriage for nearly 18 months. As of now, the RFS started a bank account to collect donations to help Sam and Megan's unborn child. Not just the RFS, other people are also creating funds to collect donations for the grieving family.

Along with Samuel, the RFS is also helping other firefighters Geoffrey Keaton and Andrew O'Dwyer's family. Geoffrey and Andrew also passed away while trying to fight the wildfire in Buxton, New South Wales. The two firefighters were also a young father when the tragic incident happened.
