Fox 8 News meteorologist, Beth has had some beautiful memories with her late beloved husband, Fred McLeod, former play-by-play announcer for NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers. They stayed married for almost three decades until the sudden death of Fred.

The former pair's first meeting took place in 1988 at CBS Sports News network. At that time, Beth was a broadcast assistant for NBA finals coverage story whilst Fred was play-by-play announcer to Detroit Pistons.

Furthermore, Fred helped Beth to create an audition tape of the 1988 NBA finals. Eventually, they developed a friendly relationship and became BFFs. 

During an interview, Beth told, "she thought if she marry her best friend, things are always going to be good." Later, Fred proposed her for marriage in the Christmas Eve of 1990, after two years of dating.

Cleveland, Ohio-based meteorologist, Beth tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in 1990 at Cranbrook House and Gardens in Detroit. Moreover, Fred's three children from first marriage, Sean, Jeena, and Molly McLeod (born in 1987) were also there.

After almost three decades of marriage, Fred passed away at the age of 67 on 9th September 2019. The cause of his death was a massive heart stroke that shocks the NBA fans. But, it was hard Beth for facing the tragic moment of her life when her husband died.

The former couple did not welcomed any children from their marriage. But, they became grandparents of Jaxson McLeod, Ryle McLeod (via Sean) and Collin (via Molly).

After the death of Fred, Beth held a funeral service at 12:00 am on Saturday, 14th September 2019 at Bay Presbyterian Church. Since then, she lives a single life with her four rescued pet dogs in Bay Village, Ohio, which is also Chloe Reinhart's hometown.

56-years-old, Beth was born as as Elizabeth Heather Henningsen on 31st March 1965 in Bay Village, Ohio, USA. She is the only child of Mr. Richard Henningsen and Mrs. Martha Ann Henningsen. 

Beth spent her early life in Bay Village till first grade and moved to Michigan due to her father's job at Detroit Diesel (also known IX Center). Nevertheless, she traveled back to her hometown, Bay Village because most of her childhood memories are there.

McLeod attended Northville High School, located in Northville, Michigan. She later completed her graduation from Michigan State University by receiving a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Broadcast Journalism degree.
