Soon after, she started her acting career as nurse Susan Ames in the series Baa Baa Black Sheep, alias Black Sheep Squadron, between 1977 and 1978. 

Her claim to fame, however, came when she played the role of Officer Sindy Cahill in the second season of the NBC series CHiPs between 1978 and 1979, really securing her fate as a rising star. Other notable roles include appearances in The Love Boat, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Fall Guy, Simon & Simon, No Soap Radio, The Paper Chase, and Night Court.

Hosting and TV Appearances: A Versatile Talent

Such versatility extended to other areas beyond acting. She co-hosted the Disney Channel's second season of Walt Disney World Inside Out with George Foreman and J.D.
