Brooks Laich

Brooks Laich is a famous Canadian former professional ice hockey forward. Starting his career from 2001 draft with Capitals played over 750 games and retired in 2018. He has represented Canada internationally, capturing a silver medal at the 2003 World Junior Championships, and playing for Canada again at the 2010 World Hockey Championships.

Brooks Laich was born as Evan Brooks Laich on June 23, 1983 in Wawota, Saskatchewan, Canada. Brooks is among the three children born to Harold Laich and his wife, Jane Laich. His father was a High School Teacher and a principal. He started playing hockey from an early age.

Brooks Laich is currently single. He is living a happy life on his own. He has been single for almost a month. He recently called off his marriage with his long time wife, Julianne Hough. 

Hough and the former Washington Capitals player were "having problems" in their marriage after the Kinrgy founder was spotted multiple times without her wedding ring. However, a source in March 2020 that they had worked through their issues and were "totally fine."

One month later, another insider revealed that Laich and the Grease: Live star were "not doing well" as they both quarantined separately amid the coronavirus pandemic. Hough and Laich announced their separation in May 2020.

In the 2015–16 season, Laich's offensive production rapidly declined, while his $4.5 million cap hit stuck out as one of the only adverse aspects of a league-leading Capitals squad. On October 19, 2017, he returned to the fold in signing a one-year, $650,000 deal.
