Early Life and Upbringing

Cody John was born on November 29, 1996, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Cody's parents are Bev and John; he stays native to Toronto. Early on, Cody showed athletic prowess and excitement toward whatever was put in his hands, prominently basketball.

 Since childhood, he has always been involved in numerous community and youth initiatives, which have had a huge impact on him. It made a mark on him, and he learned the value of hard work, teamwork, and giving back.

Educational Background

Cody was taken to Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, where he consequently led them on to win two state championships in basketball, following his successes in high school. 

With his shining high school career done, Cody pursued his college education at Weber State University with a major in professional sales.

Basketball Career

Cody John did well at Weber State, starting all 32 games in 2019-20, averaging 14.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists to get an All-Big Sky Conference honorable mention. He followed that up with a good season the next year, playing all 33 games, averaging 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists for another honorable mention. 

He has been able to show his skill abroad, signing with the Golden Eagle YLLI of Kosovo, where he accrued averages of 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.

Acting Career

Meanwhile, his basketball career was doing extremely well and at the same time, he started to make his way into acting. He appeared in several series like "In the Dark,"  "Wu-Tang: An American Saga", and "The Rookie." 

Cody's great talent and flexibility hardly stayed unnoticed, and he already has "Hey Guys", "You. Matter,", and "Save me" projects done.

Community Involvement and Philanthropy

Cody John has been always involved in the practice of helping the community. He was awarded the Community Service Award from Weber State University in 2020, given to students who, through voluntary off-campus service, contribute remarkably to the betterment of the world. 

Cody has always been excited about giving hope and inspiration to others. He continues to be actively involved in various charitable initiatives and youth programs.

Despite his feats in playing basketball for the team and in acting, Cody John has continued to receive various awards and honors because of his work in the community.
