Early Life of David Ortiz

David Ortiz was born as the eldest among four children of Americo Enrique Ortiz and Angela Rosa Arias on November 18, 1975, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He followed the careers of prominent pitcher Ramon Martinez and his younger brother Pedro as a kid.

Ortiz graduated from the Dominican Republic's Estudia Espaillat High School, where he was a top baseball and basketball player. 

On 28 November 1992, only ten days after his 17th birthday, Ortiz was signed by the Seattle Mariners, who listed him as "David Arias." Ever since then, there is no stopping in his career and actively played until 2016. He retired from his career in 2016 at the age of 41.

Ortiz is a nine-time All-Star, a three-time champion of the World Series, holding the Red Sox single-season record for home runs with 54 and an all-time MLB history leader as well. His on-field status is much higher than Pat Kelly.

Personal Life: His Marital Status

Unlike any other star who is having constant relationship problems, Ortiz id living a very blissful life without getting into any kind of problems. Ortiz is a married man. David tied a knot with Tiffany Ortiz in 2002 from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, a town between the cities of Green Bay and Appleton.

Couple's First Encounter 

Ortiz met his spouse, Tiffany Brick, at a dance club in 1996. During that time he was playing for the Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Appleton, Wis. Right after their first meeting, the pair dated for several years and finally walk down the aisle. 

Children

The pair shares three children together. Their daughters Jessica Ortiz and Alexandra Ortiz was born on October 23, 1996, and March 22, 2001, respectively. Then, their third kid D'Angelo Ortiz was born in 2004. Ortiz is very close to his children and often spends his time with his kids during his free time. 

Rumors and Controversies

Well, in 2013, it was rumored that David and his wife are splitting and are filing for the divorce; however, the rumored turned out to be false. The pair are still together and living a very blissful life without any cheating scandals.

It's true; the former baseball player owns $22 million worth of total assets and properties. He is also listed in Forbes. During his thirteen long years of professional life, Ortiz has been the part of various, ads, commercials and endorsement that adds up in his net worth. However, most of his earning are aided by his MLB baseball career.

David also owns $6.3 million worth of the home which is currently in a sale. In a recent tour to MetroWest David found the six-bedroom house that belongs to the All-Star designated hitter. 

Their home doesn't necessarily look like a mansion but gives a very cozy and vibrant vibe to a family man.

Not to forget the fact, David also owns a very expensive car. He often flaunts his cars via his Instagram posts. He owns Lamborghini Aventador which manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) is $417,826 as of 2019.

A few months back, he posted a picture with Lamborgini Urus which market price is $200,000. He also wears costly gold jewelry that costs thousands of dollars.
