Ree Drummond is happily married with four kids: Complete story here!
Ree Drummond's perfect family life and lifestyle are a dream for many of her viewers. The blogger, author, and food writer, has been showcasing her enviable life for as long as fans can remember. And with little to no controversy or so much as reproaching headlines, it is no wonder that Drummond's personal life serves as a perfect blueprint.
Born on January 6, 1969, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Ree's journey to becoming one of the biggest forces in the food industry started with her humble blog, The Pioneer Woman, which catapulted her to every platform imaginable. Ree has since carved an all-encompassing empire in food, television, books, and more.
Inside Ree Drummond's Perfect Conjugal Life
Ree Drummond's marriage with her husband, Ladd Drummond is nothing short of a fairy tale. The couple has been married for over 27 years and Ree's massive fanbase is the witness that the journey has been one inspiring tale of love and success. In her first-ever issue of The Pioneer Woman Magazine, the award-winning blogger penns how it all began for her and Ladd.
The blogger-turned-food writer was a city girl at heart and ready to move to Chicago when she met her future husband, Ladd, who she refers to as Marlboro Man in her blogs. She recalls being intrigued and then enchanted by a cowboy hunk, who was sipping bottled beer across the bar where Ree had come to meet her old friends.
"Gracious, he was a vision, this Marlboro Man–esque character across the room," Ree writes about Ladd. After a long conversation, Ree was instantly infatuated with the cowboy, who perhaps didn't feel the same as it took him nearly four months to get in touch with Ree. That one call, a subsequent date, and their first kiss were enough to convince Ree of her impending future with Ladd.
The couple tied the knot in an Episcopal church ceremony on September 21, 1996. Of course, the award-winning blogger gives a detailed description of the special day. Ree writes how she, a city girl at heart, donned a classic white wedding dress, and her groom, a sturdy country boy, spotted a slick black tuxedo for the wedding, albeit losing his cowboy boots was a big no.
The country couple has since shared every little milestone with their fans, making the duo one of the most forthcoming, and seemingly perfect celebrity couples. The pair lived in their Pawhuska, Okla house all their lives until last year. Ree and Ladd shared how they'll be moving to a smaller abode now that all their children, except for one, have left for their further studies.
The Pioneer woman and her man have also been candid about the secret behind their successful marriage. You might have heard celebrities touting active sex life, abiding sense of humor, and whatnot as the best recipe for a lasting marriage, but for the Drummond couple, it's all about routine and quality time.
"Ladd and I always wind up together on the couch in the evenings, no matter how busy we've been throughout the day," the food writer shares. Drummond adds, "We're on the same page with snacks, too. Queso for us and popcorn for the kids." The pair share five children.
Who are Ree and Ladd Drummond's Children?
The Pioneer Woman blogger's perfect little family consists of five kids, one of them being a foster son. Ree and Ladd welcomed their oldest, Alex, 26, a year after their nuptial in June 1997. Alex is the only one of the five kids who witnessed their mom transcend into a celebrity. The firstborn, however, asserts that fame didn't have any impact on her mom.
With four of their kids out in the real world, Ree and Ladd moved into a smaller house!
"Sometimes I'm just with her and forget she's even famous because she's such a normal mom," Alex said about her mom. She was home-schooled in their country home as a kid and went on to attend Texas A&M University, where she met Mauricio Scott. The oldest Drummond married Scott on May 21, 2021, at the family's ranch.
The couple's second-born, Paige, 23, is a familiar face in her mom's long-running Food Network show. She used to appear on the show as a kid and has since remained a recurring figure in Ree's onscreen endeavors. Paige graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2022 and has taken a job in Dallas.
The Drummond couple's third kid, Bryce, 20, is undoubtedly the clown of the brood as Ree once shared, "Do you have that one kid in your family that just cracks you up, no matter what they do? Bryce is that kid for me." Bryce's athletic aspirations and skills have turned him into an aspiring quarterback. The young lad transferred to Oklahoma State University earlier this year.
Ree's fourth child, Todd, 19, grew up in the spotlight alongside his famous mother. Todd has followed in his older brother's footsteps to pursue football. The doting mother proudly shared her son's strenuous journey to play for his school. "I'm not sharing that to brag, but instead to illustrate the heart this kid has for football," Ree wrote.
The duo's fifth kid, Jamar Goff, 20, also an aspiring footballer, came into the family's lives in 2018. Ree has kept much of Jamar's early life a secret but the blogger did open up about her relationship with her foster kid, in her book, Frontier Follies. "Jamar's circumstances presented themselves to us in a way we couldn't ignore," the food writer explains.
It was later revealed that Jamar had befriended his now-siblings, Bryce, and Todd before he made a way into Ree and Ladd's hearts. Jamar was reportedly severely injured in an accident, following which the loving mother took the kid under her wings. Ree announced Jamar's big milestone as he signed to play for the University of Central Oklahoma Broncos, in 2021.
