Christina Applegate has been married twice: The actress is a doting mother of one!  

Best known for her roles in Heart of the City, Married... with Children, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, and Dead to Me, Christina Applegate is an Emmy-winning actress. Throughout her decades-long stint in the industry, Applegate has made her mark in both television and film. The widely-renowned actress's repertoire isn't just limited to acting.  

Beyond her acting prowess, Applegate is known for her fervent philanthropy and her advocacy for breast cancer awareness. Born on November 25, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, to staff producer Bob Applegate, and actress Nancy Priddy, Christina's venture in the acting world started alongside her mother in the famous soap opera, Days of Our Lives, at just three months old. Christina was a teen when she catapulted to fame.

Besides her stellar career, Applegate also navigates life as a doting wife and mother. Known for being fiercely private about her personal affairs, the Heart of the City actress prefers to live life away from the limelight. In 2013, she tied the knot with musician Martyn LeNoble, and the two have been going strong ever since.      

Christina's husband, LeNoble, 54, a Dutch bassist, and more prominently, one of the founding members of the alternative rock band, Porno for Pyros. Before striking a romance with the Emmy-winning actress, Martyn was married to a fellow musician, although not much is known about his long-dissolved marriage. 

Over the years, Applegate has shared only a handful of information about her relationship with LeNoble. The actress and the musician were reportedly good friends for many years before their bond took a romantic turn. The two allegedly started dating in 2008.

LeNoble proposed to the Emmy-winning actress on Valentine's Day in 2010. The couple enjoyed the bliss of a long engagement, during which they also welcomed their only child, Sadie Grace, who is now 12. "The most important person in this world is my daughter," said the doting mother in a rare interview.  

As doting parents, the couple is as reserved if not more. Even though their daughter practically grew up on the sets of Christina's films, the actress won't be letting her only child be a part of the industry anytime soon. Applegate previously revealed her daughter, despite having an innate penchant for entertainment, isn't allowed to become an actress until she is 18.  

The twosome took two more years to bask in the joy of their parenthood before finally getting hitched. Their hush-hush wedding took place in February 2013, at their Los Angeles home. Sources at the time reported that the intimate ceremony only consisted of their daughter, who was then 2, close family members, and friends.  

Despite keeping things on the low, the Married... with Children actress and her hubby have noticeably encountered several hardships throughout their relationship, including Applegate's battle with cancer. In 2008, the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer, and LeNoble, as she explains later, was her biggest support system through the turmoil.   

"Without him, I don't know if I could've gone through any of it," said the Emmy-winning star. Christina, 52, and her husband continue to battle similar trials of life as the actress was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021. Applegate's looming health issues might stand in the way of her screen career- earlier this year, she hinted that she might have to depart from acting due to her health.

Before embarking on her happily-ever-after with LeNoble, Applegate, like any A-list television star, was in a high-profile marriage. The Heart of the City actress was married to fellow actor Johnathon Schaech, who is best known for his roles in Sparrow, The Doom Generation, and How to Make an American Quilt.   

The pair's romantic relationship began in 1997 and four years later, they exchanged their vows in October 2001. Given their gushy comments about each other, frequent red-carpet appearances, and more, fans had every reason to believe that the two were an endgame, but as it turned out, they weren't.   

In December 2005, Schaech filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind their split. Applegate's ex-husband later opened up about how the failed marriage took a toll on him and his next marriage with singer Jana Kramer.   

"I hadn't taken time to heal myself from that broken heart," said Johnathon, who has since been happily married to his third wife, Julie Soloman, with whom he shares two kids. Over the years, the long-estranged couple has remained amicable and has only spoken kindly of each other.
