Inside Ben Stiller's two-decade-long nuptial with Christine Taylor: The couple share two kids!
Ben Stiller boasts a profile as spectacular as any other esteemed star in the industry. In addition to being a critically acclaimed actor with a host of accolades under his belt, including an Emmy, a BAFTA, and more, Stiller's slew of blockbusters has also made him a bankable star to invest in.
Born on November 30, 1965, in New York City, to iconic comedians-actors, Jerry Stiller, and Anne Meara, Ben's trajectory in his parents' field was as inevitable as it was understandable. Aside from still thriving in his multi-faceted career as an actor, filmmaker, and comedian, Stiller, 57, is also navigating an enduring married life with his partner of over two decades, Christine Taylor. Learn more ahead.
Inside Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor's Enduring Conjugal Life!
23 years into their blissful, albeit, seldom challenging married life, Stiller, and Taylor are still going strong. The A-list couple rarely put themselves and their family in the spotlight and ostensibly believe in keeping it low. Over the years, the Zoolander actor has said very little about his withstanding marriage with Taylor but Stiller did open up about the moment he realized Christine was the one.
"When I met her, I pretty much thought, 'That's the person," the Greenberg actor said, adding "It was like, 'Wow, this is a great person. I love her.'" Stiller and Taylor's low-profile marriage hasn't guaranteed them a smooth ride. The duo, like any other married couple, have had their share of ups and downs.
Stiller first met Christine on the sets of a never-released TV pilot called, Heat Vision and Jack, in 1999. The unreleased show's purpose was perhaps fulfilled when Ben and Christine struck a romance and got married in a whirlwind affair. The young loved-up couple walked down the aisle on May 13, 2000, in a dreamy ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii.
Stiller and Taylor's first project, which was also significant in their journey, may not made it on the screen, but the married couple went on to work together on many projects. The couple played each other's love interests in the 2001 film Zoolander and also starred in Dedications, DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story, Tropic, Thunder, and Friendsgiving.
Stiller and Christine have since welcomed two kids. Despite their picture-perfect family and their low-key approach, the pair's marriage has been far from perfect. The Emmy-winning actor and his wife shockingly announced their separation in May 2017.
Looking back, the duo's marriage was seemingly hit hard when Stiller was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in 2014. "With tremendous love and respect for each other and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate," the couple wrote in a joint statement.
But the fog separating Stiller and Taylor eventually lifted and the two were back together in a matter of a year. The long-married couple were back in their old ways, keeping a low profile, and navigating the ups and downs in private. The comedian-turned-actor made some rare comments about his rekindled romance with Taylor in an interview.
Stiller and Taylor briefly called it quits in 2017!
"We were separated and got back together and we're happy about that. It's been really wonderful for all of us," Stiller said while explaining how the pandemic and the imposed lockdown brought his family together. The BAFTA winner added, "It was unexpected, and one of the things that came out of the pandemic."
Meet Ben Stiller's Wife and their Kids!
Meet the woman who has been with Stiller through thick and thin, Christine Taylor, 52, is best known for starring in flicks like The Brady Bunch Movie, The Wedding Singer, Zoolander, Hey Dude, and Arrested Development. Taylor may not be the better-known of the two, but the actress continues to be active in her career.
Taylor's recent credits include Friendsgiving, iCarly, Insatiable, High Desert, and Search Party. Christine and her husband concurrently keep it away from the spotlight. The husband-wife duo and their 18-year-old son, Quinlin Dempsey, recently made a rare public appearance as they hosted the 25th Project ALS Anniversary at the Jazz at Lincoln Center, in New York.
Stiller shares two kids with Taylor. His oldest, daughter Ella Olivia Stiller, 21, born to the duo in 2002, is an actress. Ella's acting venture started a long time back when she made her voice-acting debut in Ben's Megamind as an 8-year-old. Ella has also appeared in Hubie Halloween and Night At The Museum: Secret of the Tomb. She is currently enrolled at the esteemed Julliard Drama School.
Stiller's youngest, Quinlin, born in 2005, is yet to professionally foray into the industry. But that doesn't mean that the young Stiller hasn't tried his hands at it. Quinlin voice-acted in Madagascar 2, Megamind, and had a small role in Locked Down.
