As known by her fans and the tabloid, the former child actress has been dating Darius Jackson since 2021. The Akeelah and the Bee actress and her then-new beau embarked on a serious relationship when they became parents earlier this year.   

But what fans hoped would be the start of a lifelong journey for the couple has transpired into a nightmare. To those not keeping up with Palmer's romance development with Darius, she started dating the aspiring actor after meeting him at an after-party. The pair started dating officially in June 2021 and it has been a bumpy ride since then.  

Throughout their two-year-long relationship, the pair were allegedly on and off. The couple did have some cute public moments, which was a new experience for Palmer, who is notoriously low-key. "This is the happiest I've ever felt with someone. So why would I go out of my way to hide this person?" Keke said in an interview while explaining her relatively public relationship with Jackson.   

The Just Jordan actress was rumored to be pregnant for weeks and in late 2022, Palmer set the record straight on the speculation. "People have been in my comments saying 'Keke's having a baby.' And I want to set the record straight — I am," Palmer said during her SNL hosting gig.  

The former couple welcomed their son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, earlier this year in February. The milestone was followed by a string of adorable tributes for Darius, whom Palmer called "the best dad ever." The duo's relationship fell on the wrong side of the spotlight when Jackson's tweet about Palmer's clothing enraged a legion of fans.  

"It's the outfit tho. you are a mom," Jackson tweeted in response to a video of Palmer dressed in a sheer black dress. The pair's relationship seemingly started unraveling after the tweeter jibe. The Hustler actress even shaded her son's father in Usher's mv, Boyfriend. "Shit, I'm so tired. I'm a mother after all," Keke says as she winks at the camera.  

A source later reported that the couple had broken up after Darius's demeaning tweet. The estranged pair rekindled their romance after a month in August- only to embroil in a nasty clash. Palmer recently obtained a temporary restraining order against her now-ex, Jackson.  

The Akeelah and the Bee actress accused Jackson of being "physically and emotionally abusive" to her on several occasions. "Darius trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent, threatened me, and then physically attacked me," Palmer wrote in her court filing.

The slew of serious accusations against her now-ex-beau comes two weeks after Palmer filed for full custody of their son. Jackson is best known as the brother of actor Sarunas Jackson. He currently works as a fitness instructor and is also dabbling in acting. Jackson is yet to share his side of the story on his recent fallout with Palmer.
