George Gray, Price is Right Announcer is well recovering after suffering not one but three major heart attacks earlier this week in mid-COVID-19. He is still in the hospital and is in good spirits after the ordeal of his life according to his publicist.
His wife Brittney Green is by his 'side,' considering the Covid-19 protocols are in effect," Gray's representative, Phil Viardo, told TheWrap. "He's hoping to have a full recovery and return to the Price Is Right when they come back from the pandemic break, he continued.
Gray even had cracked a couple of jokes with me on the phone this morning Viardo told Deadline. And he continues saying, Gray wants this to be a lesson for people everywhere that tracking heart health is vital and that this can happen to a person of any age.
More to that, George is very grateful for the outpouring of love to his friends and fans and supports the rep added.
Three Massive Heart Attacks
The news of his heart attacks first reported to TMZ. The host of the American game show is said to have been taken to hospital on Monday at 7 AM following chest pains. George had a heart attack while in the ambulance.
After the initial heart attack, surgeons put a stent into one of his arteries to restore blood flow. The stent failed, 53, and Gray suffered another heart attack. Then a second stent was implanted to increase his blood flow but it failed as well. During the treatment, he suffered a third massive heart attack.
Surgeons then undertook a quadruple bypass. He was taken back to ICU where he had been mentioned in serious condition. Fortunately, there were already professionals doctors so they could save his life.
Gray, son of Mai Gray and George Gray has been the announcer on The Price Is Right since 2011. Prior to that, he hosted several game shows and reality TV programs, including The Weakest Link, $25 Million Dollar Hoax and I’d Do Anything, and What's With That House.
