The arrest happened way before Talib was even famous. He was still a tiny kid when it happened. She was arrested for physically attacking another woman. It seems like it wasn't an ordinary fight considering it landed her in Jail for eight months.

Talib's Fight With Her Sister's Boyfriend

In the incident that rocked the football world in 2011, Talib had a massive fight with Shanon. His mother, Okolo, said that Talib had fired gunshots. Gypsy Benitez's brother-in-law Yaqub Talib did something unforgivable. He took a life. Yaqub shot the football coach Michael Hickmon.

In a tragic incident, the fight between the two coaches happened during a football match. One of them was Michael. Yaqub then took his gun out and fired at the man, creating panic. It was found that Michael had died in that. The incident took place in Lanchester.

Talib hasn't come out in the media and talked about it, but his attorney has spoken on his behalf. Rebekah Riess from CNN reported in their article on what his attorney said:

Talib Lost His Best Friend When He Was A Kid

Gypsy's husband has been through a lot growing up. His brother's taking someone's life may have been the worst time of his life. But he also saw his mother getting arrested when he was a kid. Besides that, he also lost his friend.

Talib's friend was shot dead when he was in High school. Imagine going through that at such a young age. His friend was killed in the school parking lot. His time at high school was rough, and it was only made worse by the troubled kids of his school.
