Halsey splits with Alev Aydin after more than three years: The singer files for the full custody of their son! 

Some relationships last a lifetime and most end after it runs its course. Unfortunately, singer Halsey's romance with film producer Alev Aydin has turned out to be the latter one. The couple, after more than three years of romance and a child later, have called it quits, leaving fans to doubt the idea of "the one" and true love.   

Born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, on September 29, 1994, in Edison, New Jersey, her groundwork to cement a music career started during her teenage years. Halsey kicked off her venture in 2012 and landed her breakthrough with her debut album, Badlands, in 2015. The Grammy-nominated boasts a dating history as colorful as her career.  

Halsey and Alev Aydin Break Up! 

The Colors hitmaker Halsey, 28, and her beau of over three years, Alev Aydin, 40, are no longer together. Insiders report the duo's split was completely amicable and that the duo's only concern and focus at the moment is their one-year-old son, Ender. Halsey, however, filed to obtain full custody of her son.   

As Halsey's filing for the primary custody of their son contradicts the duo's "amicable split" claim, a source explained, the singer is only doing it as a "formality" to travel freely with her son. Halsey's estranged partner, Aydin, reportedly wants joint custody. The reason behind Ashley's split is yet to be revealed.

Halsey and Alev Aydin's Relationship Timeline!  

The now-estranged couple kept their relationship entirely sealed until they were sure of it. The pair first sparked rumors when Aydin was tapped to write the screenplay of Halsey's unreleased biopic in 2018. The love birds got matching tattoos, reading "Seeds" early in their romance.

But the official revelation of the twosome's romance only came when the Eastside singer unveiled her pregnancy in January 2021. "Surprise," wrote Halsey as she shared pictures of her bare baby bumps. An excited Aydin left a sweet comment, reading, "Heart so full, I love you, sweetness."  

Despite revealing their pregnancy to the world, Halsey and her producer boyfriend kept things low-key, except on important occasions when the duo found it necessary to express their love for each other. "My sun-kissed sweet — us back before Bebek (Turkish for "baby) was on the way," Alev wrote on Valentine's Day as he posted a throwback snap.

The couple's firstborn, Ender Ridley Aydin, arrived in the world on July 14, 2021, and the singer couldn't be more happy and grateful. "Gratitude. For the most 'rare' and euphoric birth. Powered by love," wrote the Closer hitmaker. Halsey and Aydin, whose meet-cute took place on a professional set-up, turned colleagues one more time,  

The doting parents of one collaborated on Halsey's 2022 hitmaker, So Good. "Alev and I were able to share a glimpse of the way that we fell in love: watching romantic films together," Halsey said about the MV, which was directed by Alev, and also starred him with the singer.

Halsey's ex is a writer, producer, and director. He has writer's credits on Turbo, Joey, and Small Shots. Let's not forget that Alev also wrote Halsey's charting song, So Good, and was also assigned to write Halsey's biopic, which was reportedly stalled indefinitely.  

"Because Alev was supposed to be writing it for the past 3 years and we slowly fell in love instead. you know the rest," Halsey explained in a tweet. Alev's Instagram page, where he boasts over 240k followers, gives insight into his creative and passionate mind and also establishes the producer as an ardent supporter of the BLM movement.

It is no surprise that Halsey's dating profile is gaining sizeable attention as the singer breaks off a long-term relationship. Halsey, an avid advocate of mental health, has suffered her share of heartbreaks in the industry. Over the years, the Bad at Love crooner has been a part of some famous and a few rumored romances.

Halsey sexually identifies as bisexual but so far, the singer hasn't sparked any dating speculation with a woman. "I'm a young, bisexual woman, and I’ve spent a large part of my life trying to validate myself," Halsey said as she came out of the closet during her GLAAD Media Awards speech.  

Fans later noticed that Halsey's songs, Bad at Love, and Strangers, were about bisexual relationships. It seems that Halsey's first serious celebrity romance was with Matt Healy, the lead singer of the pop band, 1975.  

Alluding to her passionate romance with the singer, Halsey said, "I spent a lot of time watching him and he spent a lot of time loving being watched." Halsey proved herself to be quite the secret keeper as she confirmed that Healy wasn't the first celebrity she dated.  

Halsey's pre-fame romance also includes her brief, but serious relationship with Norwegian producer Lido. The couple even lived together at a point before eventually going their separate ways. "I had killed off a version of myself just so we could make our love work," Halsey reflected.  

Halsey had a fling with Machine Gun Kelly, in 2016 before she delved into the most famous relationship of her dating career with G-Eazy, who she met while working with him on their hit, Him & I. The pair dated on and off until their split up for good in late 2018. Halsey's Without Me is about her romance with the rapper.  

The Grammy-nominated dated English singer Yungblood after he slide into Halsey's DMs. The duo's dating bliss lasted a year until their break up in late 2019. The pair briefly rekindled their romance, but only after Halsey's rebound affair with actor Evan Peters.
