Meagan Good announced her divorce from DeVon Franklin in 2021: Inside the actress's Dating history!  

Known for her roles in Eve's Bayou, Deliver Us from Eva, Shazam, and Deception, Meagan Good boasts a host of high-profile credits under her belt. Since kicking off her career in the early 90s and breaking out as Cisely Batiste in Eve's Bayou, Meagan has become a memorable face from the 90s and early aughts.  

Born on August 8, 1981, in Panorama City, Los Angeles, Good started her acting journey in the 90, and slowly branched her career to become a producer and model. Three decades into her multi-faceted career, Meagan continues to thrive in the business. Her recent credits include Day Shift, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, and Harlem.   

Inside Meagan Good's Unraveled Marriage with Devon Franklin!  

For a long time, nearly ten years to be precise, Meagan and DeVon Franklin were deemed to be the picture-perfect, and enviable couple in the industry. The former couple even preached about thriving relationships and the paragons to keep marriages going.   

In their 2017 book, The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love, Good and Devon unveiled their personal experience and the constructed lessons. The Eve's Bayou actress met Devon, an author, preacher, and producer, on the sets of 2011’s Jumping the Broom, where Franklin was working as an executive.  

Sources close to the actress at the time reported how the two started dating almost immediately. "They moved really quickly when they first got together, and DeVon fell super hard for her," a source shared. Good and DeVon complimented each others' lifestyle, and mindset on more than one ground, including their strict religious adherence, and their conviction to remain chaste before marriage.    

The pair's romance progressed in a whirlwind fashion and the two decided to settle down within a year of knowing each other. The Shazam actress and her then-beau walked down the aisle on June 16, 2012, in a romantic ceremony in Malibu, California. "DeVon makes me better, makes my life fuller, and completes my quality of life," the then-smitten bride gushed.  

During their nearly decade-long marriage, Meagan and DeVon didn't delve into parenthood, albeit the pair did share their desire to welcome one. "I'm trying to get ready for babies," said the actress, adding, "I'm trying to be in the best shape of my life so that I can start from a good point."   

While fans waited for the couple to announce the good news, Good and her then-husband dropped the bombshell split news instead. "After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected," Good and Franklin wrote in their joint statement in December 2021.    

The long-married pair finalized their divorce last year! 

Meagan's ex-husband, Devon, 45, is a famed author, and preacher. Some of Devon's best-known motivational books are The Wait, The Truth About Men: What Men and Women Need to Know, and Produced By Faith. He has also founded an eponymous entertainment company and produced a host of hits, including Heaven Is For Real, Miracles From Heaven, and more.  

Meagan Good's Dating History Explored!  

Throughout her journey in the glamorous industry, Good has had her share of romances and heartbreaks. In fact, it was heartbreak that convinced the former Disney actress to choose stability over spark. Meagan was allegedly chaste for two years before she married DeVon.   

In her book with her ex-husband, The Wait, the actress recalls how she was once a party girl, with every self-destructive habit imaginable, before she decided to mend her ways. Good's latent dating history includes a number of high-profile names. Her earliest-known boyfriend was Hosea Chanchez, whom she dated for nearly three years in the '90s.  

Meagan was in a rumored romance with rapper 50 Cent in the early 2000s. The rumor mills speculated about the duo's romantic equation after Good starred in Cent's mv, 21 Questions. Good was also linked with rapper Lil Wayne around the same time but nothing was ever confirmed.  

Good's romantic past also includes a few brief relationships, including her short-lived affair with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Tyrese Gibson. Good has also been linked with Soulja Boy, Nick Cannon, and Jamie Foxx, over the years.  

From 2007 to 2010, the Eve's Bayou alum dated NFL star Thomas Jane. The pair's promising relationship ended after Thomas allegedly cheated on Good. Meagan once shared how her failed relationship with Jane prompted her to give up sex before marriage.  

Since splitting ways from DeVon in 2021 and eventually finalizing her divorce last year in June, the Harlem actress has already delved into a new relationship. Meagan is reportedly dating actor Jonathan Majors.
