Anne Heche will be making a posthumous appearance on CBS's All Rise pretty soon. The actress played a recurring character, Corrine Cuthbert, prior to her tragic death at 53, in August 2022. Heche's last television performance will be concluded with a tribute to the actress.  

Sources say that the upcoming episode will conclude with a note, reading, "In Memory of Anne Heche. Our Friend and Wonderful Artist. You Are Missed." Born on May 25, 1969, in Aurora, Ohio, Heche first burst through the screen in the hit NBC soap opera, Another World, which won her an Emmy early in her career. Her other notable credits include Walking and Talking, Cedar Rapids, Men in Trees, and Psycho.  

Who was Anne Heche Dating at the Time of Her Death? 

Heche was famous for her busy and often controversial love life when she was alive. But call it the irony of life, Heche, who always seemed to be in a relationship at every phase in her career, was single at the time of her death. Anne was, in fact, recently single after her breakup with Thomas Jane, whom she began dating in 2019.   

It is not known how romance ensued between the two, but Anne and Jane starred in HBO's series, Hung, from 2009 to 2011. The duo reportedly broke up after nearly two years of dating bliss in 2021. "While Anne and I are no longer an item, today's tragic news was devastating to me and to all who love her," Thomas said when Heche was hospitalized after the crash.   

While many believed Thomas's emotional statements, it didn't take him long to show his true colors. A few months after Anne's untimely death, Thomas claimed that Heche owed her more than $150k in unpaid loans. In his filing against the late actress, Jane claimed Anne borrowed $157,000 from him, and that he was seeking a certain amount of per day interest as well.

Heche was a rebellion from the start. During a time when television starlets feared drawing unnecessary attention and scrutiny into their personal lives, the Another World actress went about her way and delved into some of the most eyebrow-raising relationships of the time.   

Heche had a brief romance with Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham in the early 1990s before she started a controversial relationship with actor Steve Martin in 1994. The two had met on the sets of A Simple Twist of Fate and fallen in love despite their 24-year age gap.  

The idea of young women pursuing older men was frowned upon at the time, so one can only imagine the public's repulsive reaction to the duo's romance as Martin had recently divorced his first wife, Victoria Tennant. Anne and Martin broke up over two years of dating in 1997.   

Anne famously dated Ellen DeGeneres for three years! 

"I wanted comfort. I wanted humor. I wanted all of the things that he offered," Heche said while explaining why she dated an older man. Anne's most notorious relationship came shortly after her split with Martin. In 1997, the Emmy winner started dating comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who had famously come out as a lesbian just months ago.  

While Ellen went on to achieve a distinguished place in the industry in the coming years, Heche claimed her high-profile relationship with DeGeneres ruined her career. "I was fired from a $10 million picture deal and did not see the light of day in a studio picture," said the late actress after she broke up with Ellen in 2000.   

The Another World actress and DeGeneres claimed to have an amicable split, a few sources alleged that the actress had left the comedian to be in a heterosexual relationship with Coleman "Coley" Laffoon, with whom she would have a whirlwind marriage. The two tied the knot after a brief romance in 2001 and welcomed their first, Homer, in March 2002.  

The Emmy-winning actress had a good thing going on with Laffoon up until she started working with James Tupper in 2007's Men In Trees. She and Laffoon hit a rough patch soon after the swirling rumors of Anne's fluctuating feelings, and there was no coming back from it.    

The spouses called it quits in 2007 and Heche hastily entered into another high-profile relationship with Tupper. The couple welcomed a son, Atlas, in 2009. Although the pair never walked down the aisle, their relationship lasted over a decade.
