The attractive pair seldom talk about their long-going romance and the family that they've created. Fans assume that the duo got acquainted and started dating while filming their 2011 film. When in reality, the two had been friends for years.   

The couple sparked romance rumors in late 2011 and kept fueling the talks until the media reckoned that they were indeed in love, and just didn't want to make it all about that. Eva and Gosling wrapped the year with one more film as they starred in Funny or Die's Drunk History Christmas.   

Mendes' talented beau, Gosling, known for his Oscar-nominated roles in La La Land, Half Nelson, and more introduced Mendes to his Canadian family early on. The La La Land actor expressed his gratitude for Mendes while accepting his Golden Globe award in 2017. "While I was singing and dancing and playing piano, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second," Ryan said while referring to his role in the 2017 musical. He dedicated the award to Eva's late brother, Juan Mendes, who died in April 2016.

While Eva became a stay-at-home mom and bore another daughter shortly after, Gosling went on to star in the award-winning film, La La Land.

The twosome welcomed their second daughter, Amanda, 7, in April 2016. Being protective parents, and what Eva refers to as "bulldozing parents" the couple shows very less of their kids, but Mendes keeps it candid when it comes to sharing parenting tips.   

Dishing on the importance of fostering creativity in our young ones, Mendes said, "I really feel like when we're bored — not stimulated by a phone, or an iPad, or computer or television — that's when ideas come in." Gosling recently went on record to say that he realized he wanted kids after falling for Eva.

Following her breakup with Augusto, Mendes was once linked with actor Jason Sudeikis. Ryan, on the other hand, has been a silent player throughout his career. His earliest flame is believed to be Sandra Bullock. The two worked on Murder By Numbers in 2002 and started a high-profile romance that ended in 2003.  

The Half-Nelson actor again struck a romance with a co-star. Ryan dated his The Notebook co-star, Rachel McAdams, for two years. Gosling was briefly linked with actresses Olivia Wilde and Blake Lively before he started courting Eva.
