Beckinsale and Sheen started dating in 1995 and the duo welcomed a daughter, Lily Mo Sheen, during their eight-year-long relationship. Their unbreakable yet unmoving relationship had Beckinsale torn between feeling content and lacking. In what seemed like a cute date in the Big Apple, Kate and Atwater were spotted strolling with their arms locked. Sources soon debunked the romance rumors, calling Beckinsale and Atwater "nothing more than friends." "They're friendly, there's nothing romantic going on," an insider alleged. 

But before you jump onto concluding Beckinsale's relationship status as single, here's a relatively recent speculation that might or might not have gone under the radar. The actress sparked steamy headlines with a mystery man after a snapshot of her, sitting on a hunk's lap, sent her fans into a frenzy.    

On the occasion of her 50th birthday in July, the Whiteout actress posted a string of celebratory pictures, one of which set off the wild rumor. Beckinsale's close visuals with the unknown man subsequently turned into an engagement rumor.  

But the Underworld actress set the record straight before fans could blow it out of proportion. Responding to a prying fan's curiosity, Kate denied being engaged but didn't debunk the dating rumor. Hence, Kate's official relationship status, as of this writing, remains single and mother to one.
