The renowned actor and singer, 65, known for his endless list of critically acclaimed flicks like Footloose, Diner, JFK, Mystic River, A Few Good Men, Apollo 13, and more, has been a charming fixation in Hollywood for over four decades. Since the inception of the pandemic in 2020 and its continuing after-effects still felt today, Bacon has taken on the role of a social media star as well.   

Born Kevin Norwood Bacon on July 8, 1958, in Philadelphia, he had a brief stint in the theatre and soap operas before landing his breakthrough role in Footloose. Bacon's consistent and unproblematic career is just one of the many reasons he is a fan-favorite Hollywood A-lister; the other factors being his enduring marriage and blissful family life.

The couple has been as strong as a rock since they first started dating in 1987. Mirroring every conflicted millennial's dream life, the duo resides on a farm with their flock of farm animals.   

Bacon and Kyra met on the sets of their 1987 film Lemon Sky and fell in love while working together. Bacon's earnest efforts, little convincing, and more importantly, their shared interest, and the immediate click eventually won Kyra. "When I did fall in love with Kevin, it really just felt like there was some urgency to get married," she would say years later. 

The duo's romance was a whirlwind affair as the two got engaged within months of dating and tied the knot a year later on September 4, 1988. Almost a year into their conjugal bliss, Bacon and Kyra had ventured into the joyful journey of parenthood as they welcomed their first kid, Travis. "The minute I had a child I was like, 'God, I want to make sure there's a good place here for him," said the doting mother.   

The spouses welcomed another kid, Sosie Ruth, in March 1992. Bacon and Sedgwick's relationship goes beyond their marriage. The adorable spouses have collaborated on more than a couple of projects. After their critically acclaimed performances on Lemon Sky, it was only right that they take their onscreen companionship even further.  

They starred in the romantic comedy, Pirates, in 1991, followed by Murder in the First, Cavedweller, and Loverboy, which also marked the debut of their 14-year-old daughter. The Bacon family's journey has been anything but a bed of roses like we've led you to believe so far. Like any regular couple, they've weathered many downs and appeared stronger.   

The Lemon Sky actor and his wife were one of the known celebrities to fall victim to the Ponzi scheme in 2008. "We found out when the world found out," said the couple after losing a significant amount they invested. Kyra credited her husband's calm and secure mindset for getting them through the predicament.

The long-married couple commemorated their 35th anniversary earlier this year in March. Giving fans an insight into their enduring bond, the Emmy-nominated actor revealed their secret for a happy marriage. "We've always been each other's biggest supporter," Bacon said before citing "sense of humor" as another crucial factor.

Bacon is undeniably the bigger star of the two when one sets celebrity influence and credits as the parameter. But besides being a doting wife to her famous husband and a mother to his two kids, Sedgwick is a career woman and a star in her own right. Born on August 19, 1965, in NYC, Sedgwick is an actress, producer, and director.   

Her notable credits include the Emmy-winning film, Miss Rose White, the Oscar-winning war film, Born on the Fourth of July, and the series, Closer, which garnered her a Golden Globe. Sedgwick's relatively recent credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Call Your Mother.  

The duo's perfect family consists of their two adult children, Travis, 34, and Sosie, 31. Throughout their journey as actors and parents, the couple has maintained a candid attitude, be it about dishing on parenthood, or gushing about their kids, who've carved a pretty successful career in the industry.   

The Bacon couple's oldest, Travis, has inherited his father's musical talents. He works as a producer, composer, and musician. Travis recently worked as a composer on his parents' project, Space Oddity. He is the frontman of the industrial metal band, CONTRACULT.  

Bacon's daughter, Sosie, is the better-known of his two kids. Since kicking off her acting journey with Loverboy, Sosie has starred in Wishin' and Hopin', Chronically Metropolitan, 13 Reasons Why, Mare of Easttown, and As We See It. Despite being born to the powerhouse couple, Sosie only landed her first lead role in a feature film, Smile, in 2022.
