Tom Schwartz's romantic life is always a subject of interest among fans. The reality star, best known for starring in Bravo's drama-packed reality show, Vanderpump Rules, is always pumped up to start a buzz, be it with his own personal life, or by dishing on his fellow co-stars'.  

Besides the stardom drawn from the Bravo show, Schwartz also has some acting credits in his profile. The Woodbury, Minnesota-born bloke has so-far acted in True Blood, Two and a Half Men, and 2 Miles in 20 Minutes. Schwartz recently gave his opinion on Vanderpump's most talked-about pair, Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss, and his take on their scandalous affair has many asking- but what about your own love life though?  

Inside Tom Schwartz's Short-Lived Marriage with Katie Maloney!  

If you're a regular Vanderpump Rules viewer, you probably have all the intel of Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney's relationship, but if you're not, here's a run down. Tom and Katie came into the Bravo show as a love-struck couple, and navigated all milestones, and setbacks of their relationship on screen.   

Tom started dating Maloney in 2011 after being introduced by Kristen Doute. In 2013, the couple introduced on the television and despite their many loved-up scenes on the show, the duo exuded signs of troubled dynamic with their occasional fights.  

The pair announced their engagement in July 2015 and followed the betrothal with an onscreen wedding on August 17, 2016. The couple held their wedding in front of the Bravo camera at Lake Tahoe, California, with Lisa Vanderpump as their officiator.  

The couple's glamorous wedding was, however, just the beginning of what was going to be a roller-coaster ride for the two. Almost two years into their marriage, Schwartz faced cheating allegations. The couple's fellow co-star, Lala Kent, claimed that Tom had made out with her friend Allie while he was drunk.  

Given Schwartz's zero recollection of the incident, their marriage seemingly survived the setback. "We're still going strong. Everything is great, we're more in love than we've ever been," Schwartz said of his marriage with Maloney.  

The duo later revealed that they hadn't gotten married officially and made up for it by hosting another wedding in Las Vegas in July 2019. By 2021, Tom and Katie were planning to start their family and getting candid on their fertility struggle.  

"I wasn't handling it very well. As much as we kept going and kept trying, at the end of last year I was like, 'This is not how I want this to go down. This is just so much pressure," Katie shared after revealing that she and Tom had underwent an abortion early in their relationship.  

Why did Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney got Divorced?  

The Vanderpump Rules couple announced their separation in March 2022. In an Instagram post, Katie described how the couple had made the decision after much thought and discussion, and that there wasn't any resentment between them.   

"After 12 years on an adventure through life together, Tom and I are ending our marriage," the caption read, adding, "We have a deep admiration for one another that will always remain, and we cherish our friendship."  

Schwartz, in a post, shared that it was Katie's decision to call it quits. The True Blood actor added, "It would be far sadder if she decided to stay with me whilst not happy." Citing "irreconcilable differences" Maloney filed to divorce Tom a few days after their separation news. 

The estranged couple has since remained amicable and set examples for healthy divorces. "I'm happy that we're still close. I think, relatively speaking, we've done a damn good job divorcing each other," Schwartz said during his appearance on Maloney's podcast, You're Gonna Love Me with Katie Maloney.

Tom indeed has a new lady in his life but thinks it's too early to unveil more on the topic. During his recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, host Andy Cohen grilled the reality star after Tom gave away a new information on his dating life.  

"You know, I would not say I am not, not dating," said the Vanderpump star before adding, "I'm hanging out. I think she would prefer that I didn't say." Tom also dished on his previous whirlwind relationship with Jo Wenberg. Schwartz shared how his mental state at the time stood in the way of him and Wenberg getting into a serious relationship.
