Channing Tatum is reportedly engaged and is headed to become a husband for the second time. But before we further delve into the exciting news, here's a brief look back at the actor's journey in the industry. Tatum is best known for headlining the hit comedy-drama Magic Mike and its sequels, the last of which, Magic Mike's Last Dance, dropped earlier this year.

Born on April 26, 1980, in Cullman, Alabama, Channing's venture in Hollywood started with modeling. His alluring physique and chiseled face landed him a trove of gigs and gradually brought him closer to his destination. Tatum became a household face starring in the 2006 rom-com, She's the Man and Step-Up. But it was 2012's Magic Mike that eventually catapulted him amongst the host of A-listers.

Channing Tatum is Engaged to Zoë Kravitz!

Tatum is back in the scene after a lengthy hiatus from acting. The Hollywood heartthrob is looking forward to the slew of movies that he is going to star in, including a remake of the System Crasher, and Pussy Island. Tatum is also gearing up to venture into a journey of a lifetime with his girlfriend of two years,  Zoë Kravitz, who is now his fiancé.

Channing met Kravitz, who is best known for starring in blockbusters like X-Men: First Class, The Batman, and Big Little Lies, on the sets of The Lego Batman Movie, in 2017. But it was only after Kravitz approached Tatum to star in her directorial debut, the upcoming Pussy Island, that the two discovered their connection.

While dishing on her career milestone as a first-time director, the Batman actress expresses her gratitude for having met the Magic Mike star. Zoë further gushes about Tatum, saying how he became her guardian on the set."He really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet," said the actress-turned-director.

The rumors about the then-new lovebirds hit the headlines in August 2021. The couple's romance became ostensible as they began to flaunt it in public and on social media. The Magic Mike actor and his lady love have since proved to be an adored Hollywood couple. Their quirky Halloween dress-up tradition, for instance, is one of the many reasons they are a loved duo.

For this year's Halloween, Tatum and Kravitz dressed up as Rosemary's Baby's main characters. As they step into the next level of their relationship, the loved-up pair continues to gush about each other's work, and personalities. "I'm in awe," said the Magic Mike actor while calling his girlfriend a "perfectionist."

There are many factors in the duo's relationship that make them seem like a meant-to-be couple, including the fact that both Channing and Kravitz have been married and divorced once before, and are totally perceptible of the inevitable bumps in relationships.

As per Kravitz, 34, who started dating Tatum at the heels of her divorce from Karl Glusman, it is their shared sense of humor and penchant for art that really connects them. "He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do," Kravitz explained.

Inside Channing Tatum's First Marriage!

There's no way that the People's former Sexiest Man Alive has trouble landing women. Channing certainly boasts features that can win him any leading lady, of course with a slight wooing game from his side, but the Magic Mike actor has refrained from meaningless romance hopping. The actor calls himself a monogamist and has stayed true to his words.

Channing was married to actress Jenna Dewan, whom he met on the sets of the 2006 movie, Step-Up, from 2009 to 2019. Tatum and Dewan started dating in 2006 and got engaged in 2008. The pair walked down the aisle on July 11, 2009, and welcomed their daughter, Everly, in May 2013.

During their decade-long marriage, Tatum and Dewan were Hollywood's "it couple" and undoubtedly, one of the most loved ones. The duo knew when to rub it on the media's face and when to steer away from the limelight. Tatum and Dewan were mostly low-key. The spouses announced their separation in 2018 and finalized their divorce a year later.

Fans and the industry probably expected a quietly dealt-with separation, looking at the duo's relatively private relationship, but that wasn't the case. The Dear John actor and Dewan got embroiled in a contentious legal battle, with the actress filing for spousal support, and Tatum going against it.

An insider reported how the estranged duo's divorce and custody battle was an emotional process for both of them. The situation got worse when Channing fueled dating rumors with songstress Jessie J amid his divorce from Dewan, who reflected on the shocking headline in her book, Gracefully You.

"There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship," wrote Dewan, whose notable credits include Step-Up, Witches of the East End, Supergirl, and The Rookie. "I felt blindsided," she adds. The Magic Mike alum and Jessie had an on-and-off romance from 2018 to 2020.
