Who is James Naughtie?

James Naughtie is a British radio and news presenter for the BBC. Likewise, he is the best known for presenting the  Radio 4’s Today programme from 1994 to 2015 as one of the main presenters.

James Naughtie was born on 9 August 1951 Milltown of Rothiemay, United Kingdom as Alexander James Naughtie. Further, he was born to Alexander Naughtie and Isabella Naughtie but raised in Milltown of Rothiemay, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He holds British citizenship and is of white ethnicity. Concerning his education, Naughtie studied Keith Grammar School, the University of Aberdeen and then Syracuse University for further education.

In 1975, Naughtie started his journalism career at the Aberdeen Press & Journal. He entered the Westminster employees of the paper the following year, becoming its Chief Political Correspondent. He worked as a fellow of Laurence Stern on his domestic employees for The Washington Post in 1981. In 1984, he entered The Guardian and became its political leader.

Till date, James worked in many TV channels including The World At One, Radio 3, The New Elizabethans on Radio Four, Radio 4's Today programme, and Good Morning Scotland.
