James Pumphrey

James Pumphrey is an American actor. He has starred in movies and TV series like Fun Size, Key and Peele, How I met Your Mother, and others. Besides, Pumphrey also works as an Editor in Chief, Head Writer, for the successful You-Tube channel, Donut Media.

James was born on March 19, 1985, in the USA. His zodiac sign is Pisces. He is the son of late. Dave Mark Pumphrey (father) and his wife. James' dad Dave is no more in this world. As per James' Instagram post, his father, Dave, passed away at the age of 48 because of a heart attack. Additionally, James has an elder sister named Mary Pumphrey.

The 35-years-old James is in a romantic relationship with his love partner Kasey Edward. How and when Edward and Pumphrey met and began their romantic affair is unclear, but it seems like the duo dated several months before they got engaged. 

James revealed the news of his engagement to Kasey via an Instagram post. On January 14, 2019, he shared a snap of Kasey with a red heart and ring emoji writing, "She’s making me sign a prenup. Still stoked tho."

Near-Death Experience

The 6-feet-3-inch (191 cm) tall James suffered a severe heart attack in November 2019. He revealed the news of it, posting a picture of him recovering from his surgery. As per his Instagram post, he first started getting weird pain in his shoulders and neck. Later, the pain spread to his jaw and right arm.

Afterward, he drove himself to the Emergency Room (ER), where the doctor told him that had been having a heart attack for the past 12 hours. Sharing the experience, James said, 

"Within a few hours, I was in the angio lab, and they were running a tube from my right wrist through an artery heart. The doctors were able to clear one artery and added a stint to keep it open. The other artery was rock hard, but my body had grown collateral vessels to feed itself so it’s now getting sufficient blood flow."

Pumphrey further said that he had really bad genetics when it comes to his heart because his father died due to the same diseases, and his sister, Mary, also faced a similar experience when she turned 30. After the successful operation, James is taking this as a second chance to turn it all around. He also thanked all doctors, nurses, and technologists at UCLA medical center for saving his life.

As mentioned above, James serves as editor-in-chief and writer for Donut Media, an automotive content brand better known for its self-named You-Tube channel. The channel has amassed 4.51 million subscribers.
