Jana Kramer's Love Life: Her Many Husbands and Boyfriends Over the Years

Jana Kramer is finding happiness after her three divorces: Inside the singer's lengthy romantic history 

After experiencing three failed nuptials, relationships, and engagements- all in the span of two decades, Jana Kramer, is ready to move into the next chapter of her life. Her new and yet-to-release, The Next Chapter, will unpack Kramer's journey in developing a new outlook on life via her unfortunate personal trajectory.  

Born on December 2, 1983, in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Kramer is a country singer and actress. Since kicking off her career in 2002, Kramer has released two successful albums, and starred in One Tree Hill, Friday Night Lights, Entourage, and more. Jana Kramer's Unfortunate Love Life!  

The Michigan-born singer has had a hard time finding love. Her dating career, as long and high-profile as her professional feats, has seen more downs than ups. Kramer suffered physical and emotional abuse in her first marriage. The Why Ya Wanna hitmaker was only 21 when she married Michael Gambino in 2004.   

The singer's first nuptial ended after a year, with Gambino getting convicted of attempted murder charges in 2005. Kramer opened up about the nearly-fatal marriage years after her dissolved marriage and Gambino dying by suicide. "I still have that fear when I’m alone, him coming to grab me and throwing me out of bed," Kramer shared.  

The country crooner, understandably, couldn't bring herself to trust men again for a long time, until 2008. She started dating her Prom Night co-star, Johnathon Schaech, that year and got engaged to him a year later. They tied the knot in July 2010 and filed for divorce a year later.   

Kramer is seemingly not on good terms with Schaech as the pair have dissed each other more than one time. Kramer would go on to say yes to singer Brantley Gilbert in 2013. The duo had only dated for almost a year at the time. The couple never made it to the altar and Kramer later expressed regret over "not handling the situation" efficiently.  

The One Tree Hill actress's next notable relationship was with NFL star Mike Caussin, who she started dating in 2014. Despite Mike's unfaithful behavior during the beginning stage of their romance, Kramer reconciled with the athlete and even married him in May 2015.  

Jana's six-year-long marriage with Caussin was on-off and rocky at best. The ill-fated couple even penned a memoir, The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice for Loving Faithfully, during their bumpy marriage. 

The two kept their ups and downs candid and even revealed Mike's battle with sex addiction, and his stint in rehabilitation- only to put their foot down in 2021. The NFL fame reportedly cheated on Jana with over thirteen women. The estranged couple shares two children, daughter Jolie, and son Jace.  

Who is Jana Kramer Dating?  

The I Got the Boy hitmaker has got no problems landing boys. Kramer resumed her dating stint almost immediately after her split from Mike. She dated NFL quarterback Jay Cutler for a month and later gushed about her budding romance with fitness trainer Ian Schinelli.     

Kramer and Schinelli dated for six months and announced their split in April 2022. Ian later blamed Kramer's "anxious attachment" and her toxicity for their split. The One Tree Hill actress is currently engaged to former soccer player Allan Russell. 

Jana and Russell started dating earlier this year, and Kramer, being the candid woman that she is, excitingly revealed her new flame on Instagram. "Back where it all started… Also, this is so us… trying to take a photo," Kramer wrote beside a loved-up snap of her and Russell. 

And after only six months of dating, the songstress is already engaged to her new beau. Jana confirmed the news on her podcast, Whine Down with Jana Kramer. The singer/actress is looking forward to the new beginning and has a positive feeling about Russell.   

But given her slew of unpleasant experiences, it is only fair that Kramer fosters some doubts in her heart. "I don't know if this is my forever person," Jana said earlier this month. She added, "I'm not going to push away love just because I've been hurt before. I'm going to embrace it."
