Joe Dumars, whose full name is Joe Dumars III, is a former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association from the United States of America. Currently, he is working as the Sacramento Kings' chief strategy officer.

Dumars began his career as a shooting guard, but after Thomas' retirement in 1994, he transitioned to point guard, sharing ball-handling duties with Grant Hill. In 2006, Dumars was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Utica. From 2000 through 2014, Dumars was the Pistons' president of basketball operations.
