Besides thriving on his lasting Impractical Jokers fame, Gatto is smoothly navigating the ever-changing curves of television.  

Born Joseph Anthony Gatto Jr. on June 5, 1976, in Staten Island, his improv comic career started with his lifelong friends, James "Murr" Murray, Brian "Q" Quinn, and Sal Vulcano, in the 90s. The former comedy troupe is still as tight as ever after spending a decade entertaining fans with their cringe-worthy pranks and now their much-loved podcast, The Tenderloins.

Throughout his testing times in showbiz and life in general, Gatto has had only one woman by his side. Fans witnessed Joe's enduring relationship with Bessy Gatto since the onset of Impractical Jokers on truTV in 2011. The television couple has had their share of problems over the years, which built up to their shocking split in 2021, but the pair are back together as of this writing.   

Gatto found a lasting love with Bessy a couple of years before his show debuted. By the time Joe and his friends' hidden camera, reality show swooped the nation, in 2012, the comedian and his then-girlfriend had cemented a stable life in New York. The pair's together forever began in 2013 when Gatto and Bessy walked down the aisle in an intimate ceremony.  

The Gatto couple welcomed a daughter in 2015, followed by the birth of a son in 2017. During the pinnacle of their domestic bliss, Joe and his wife gave fans glimpses of their life via the hit show and their social media. The Staten Island-born comedian didn't miss a chance to credit his wife whenever an opportunity arose, and Bessy, in return, often gushed about her ride-or-die relationship with the comedian.   

In fact, one of Joe's most genuine tributes to Bessy and their kids came just ahead of their breakup, which had fans feeling puzzled. "These 3 humans make me the happiest guy in the world. From the quirky daughter to snuggly son to the most loving and lovable partner in the universe," Gatto wrote in the post.    

The estranged couple reconciled after almost a year apart! 

Either it was the time apart that did the magic or the eventual realization that they were meant for each other, but as of 2023, Gatto and his estranged wife, Bessy, are back together, and surely, stronger than ever. "10 years ago when we started out, I could have never imagined the absolute crazy ride with highs and lows our marriage has endured," Joe wrote as he made their reconciliation official.

Joe's wife of over a decade, Bessy, 41, might be best known as the acclaimed comedian's wife, but Bessy is a star in her own right. Bessy's biggest accomplishment, aside from her marriage, and two loving children, is her non-profit organization called, Gatto Pups and Friends, a non-profit sanctuary that looks after senior and disabled dogs.  

As the founder and President of the NGO, Bessy has been providing for vulnerable animals for a long time. Mrs. Gatto's relentless advocacy for animal protection is also noticeably visible via her role as a board member of NYC Second Chance Rescue, another organization committed to providing for animals.  

The Impractical Jokers comedian and his animal-loving wife have together two children, Milana, and Remington. Joe's relationship with Bessy might have seen some bumps, and lows over the years, but the comedian has never fumbled on his responsibilities as a father.   

"I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids," Joe wrote when he announced his split from Bessy, and also his exit from Impractical Jokers. The comedian-turned-podcaster shares an incredible bond with his eldest-born, Milana, who often pops up on her father's social media.  

Taking the protective parent approach, Joe seldom shares any personal information about his children, let alone making them television scions in the making. Gatto credits his daughter for keeping his inner child alive and also for constantly making him laugh. The Gatto couple's son, Remington, is a young artist.   

Joe takes immense pride in flaunting his son's art, which is often cute stick-figure drawings of their family, on Instagram. "My son is a talented artist," the doting father wrote in a post. The Gatto family faced a scare of their life earlier this year when Remington was rushed to the hospital for an undisclosed reason. 

The truTV alum, whose life motto, as his states is to make people laugh, is back with his loving family after his son's recovery, and reconciliation with Bessy. The Gatto family also owns multiple dogs, without whom the family won't be complete.
