The Hollywood Reporter Mike Barnes reports that he died after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was found dead at his home in Calabasas, California.

Eden wed Ansara on January 17, 1958. The two first started seeing each other in October 1957 and went separate ways from their marriage journey in 1974. 

Michael George Ansara was a trendy actor back in the day. The actor is known for being commander Kang in Star Trek: The Original Series.

Barbara's Second Child Died In Her Womb

Jon Eicholtz's wife's first marriage didn't go as planned. However, even before divorcing Michael Ansara, she had gone through a tragedy. And that came in the form of the death of her child. Her second baby had died in her womb. 

A few weeks after she learned the news, she was forced to give birth to a stillborn baby. Barbara has also said that the death of her baby also made her a victim of depression which is understandable since it is hard for anyone to cope with the death of her child. 

This, in turn, affected her marriage as well. While speaking to Sydney Morning, she said:

My deep depression destroyed our relationship and after 15 years together we divorced.

Barbara's Second Husband 

Not only Ansara but Barbara's second husband, Charles Donald Fegert, is also no longer alive. He died peacefully in his sleep on September 25, 2002.

A few years after leaving her first marriage Barbara Eden found comfort in the arm of Charles Fegert. The two tied the knot on September 3, 1977. 

Eden thought she found true love in Charles, but this marriage, like her first one, also failed. She ended things with her second husband in the March of 1982. The Brass Bottle actress left him because of his substance abuse.

Barbara's Son Matthew Died Of A Drug Overdose

It's hard to imagine what Barbara must have gone through looking at the death of her two children. First, the end of her second baby in her womb and, years later, the death of her first son Matthew Ansara resulted from a substance overdose.

Matthew lost his life on June 25, 2001, at age 35. He had died of a Heroin overdose. His body was found in a car in Monrovia, California. Both of her children come from her first marriage to Michael Ansara.

I don't know if becoming a mom changed me, but it was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me. It's a miracle, having a baby, and having this little creation. I get goosebumps when I think about it. It's the loveliest thing that happened in my life.
