Known for his roles in Milk, The Goonies, Avengers: Infinity War, and Dune, Josh Brolin is an Academy-nominated actor. The actor's success is often associated with his bonafide Hollywood family; Josh's father is actor James Brolin, and his mother is wildlife activist Jane Cameron. The actor also has Barbra Streisand as his stepmom.  

Born on February 12, 1968, in Santa Monica, California, Brolin started acting during his middle teens. But despite boasting a privileged background, Josh's career trajectory didn't transpire all that different from that of an outsider. Brolin made his big debut in The Goonies, in 1985, and spent 22 years, mostly unemployed.

Of course, Brolin earned his overdue fame eventually and joined the trove of A-listers. The actor made it big with the Academy Award-winning film No Country For Old Men, in 2006. By then, Brolin had already navigated a failed marriage and welcomed two kids.   

Josh met his first wife, actress Alice Adair, during the filming of Private Eye, a tv series he signed to board after turning down a role in Back to The Beach. Perhaps the whole purport of the tv series was Brolin's chance encounter with Alice, as the series failed miserably after one season, but Josh found a wife.  

Josh and Adair tied the knot in 1988 and spawned a brood of two within the next six years. The couple parted ways in 1994 and continued to live as a family for the best interest of their then-young children. Following his divorce from Adair, who remained his boarding partner for a few years, Josh started dating actress Minne Driver.  

The Goonies actor and Minnie were engaged for six months before breaking off their ties amicably. Brolin's second nuptial with actress Diane Lane was a low-key profile affair like his previous relationships, but it had its moments of turbulence. The duo got married on August 15, 2004, and after a few months, the couple sparked a scandal.   

The Avengers actor was arrested on charges of domestic abuse in December 2004. Brolin was later released after Lane declined to press charges. The couple's rep that the duo had an altercation, which transpired into a lowest-end misdemeanor on Josh's part. 

The ever-reticent actor later recalled the incident with much disdain. Brolin explained that he tried his best to be a good husband and a good father figure to Lane's daughter from her previous relationship, but felt exhausted at moments. "I feel bad that I didn’t have the presence of mind to understand that early on," said the actor. The duo finalized their divorce in 2013.

The No Country for Old Men star has been happily married to Kathryn Boyd since 2016. Brolin got lucky immediately after his second divorce from Lane. The actor was filming for his 2013 neo-noir film, Oldboy, when he met his future wife, Boyd, working as his personal assistant on the set.   

Kathryn had previously been a PA to Ben Stiller. The duo reportedly kept things professional while working on the sets and turned romantic after the filming ended. Brolin and Kathryn enjoyed a two-year dating bliss and in 2015, the Avengers actor got down on his knees.   

Alluding to the fact that his third time was indeed the charm, actor Brolin called the year 2013 the "turning point" of his life. Brolin and his bride walked down the aisle on September 24, 2016, in a small, but star-studded wedding, in Cashiers, North Carolina. The guests included names like Bradley Cooper and Matt Damon.

It's six years later since their beautiful wedding and the pair are going strong. Although the duo mostly keeps their matters out of the media's hair, fans often get insight into their fun-filled marriage every now and then. The Deadpool 2 actor recently posted a video of him and Boyd taking a morning ice water plunge during a vacation. 

Brolin's wife and the mother of his two children, Boyd, 35, may not be as renowned a figure as him, but she certainly has a career of her own. Aside from the fact that she is two-decade younger than her husband, many might be surprised to learn that Kathryn has several acting and producing credits. She also owns a clothing line called Midheaven Denim. 

A Look at Josh Brolin's Blended Family! 

The Oscar-nominated star has four children across his two of three marriages. Brolin might be busy with his thriving Hollywood career, with the actor starring in blockbusters like Dune, Flag Day, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, and more, but the actor is never too busy for his kids, and the recurring posts of his brood explains it all.   

Brolin welcomed his firstborn, Trevor Brolin, in June 1988, with his first wife, Alice. Trevor has remained largely out of the spotlight and reportedly lives a quiet life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. But the eldest Brolin did dabble in acting briefly. His credits include X, All Kids Count, and Felt. Trevor has also worked as a director and producer.  

Josh's second child, Eden, who he also shares with his first wife, was born in 1994. Eden has also ventured into acting and has cemented a notable profile. Her credits include Yellowstone, I Dream Too Much, Emerald City, and Blood Bound.  

The Avengers actor was blessed with another daughter, Westlyn Reign Brolin, in November 2018. The actor often posts gushy tributes for his little daughter. On her 2nd birthday, Josh penned a heartfelt caption for Westlyn, reading, "We are lucky to know you, little girl: Trevor, Eden, the little one, and Mama galore. we love you like a fiery sunset."  

The actor and his third wife welcomed their youngest, Chapel Brolin, on Christmas Day 2020. Explaining the beautiful reason behind their daughter's name, Josh wrote, "Everywhere we have traveled, the one place Kathryn and I always found a great solace in were chapels."
