Katherine Switzer is a famous American Runner. Along with being a well known Marathon runner, she is also a author and Television Commentator. She is among the first woman to participate in the Boston Marathon officially.

Katherine Switzer was born as Katherine Switzer on January 5, 1947, in Amberg, Germany. She is the daughter born to Homer Switzer and his wife, Virginia Switzer. Much about her siblings is not shared with the public. Her father is a retired US Army Official, and her mother worked in the house. She graduated from Syracuse University with a Degree in Journalism and English Literature.
