However, she is best known for analysing BBC's program Brexit and the European Union over the last few years. In June 2017, she became one of four presenters of Brexit cast, a BBC podcast covering Brexit. But in 2019 it became a BBC One TV programme.

She was born on 3 May 1972 in Hampstead, London, as Michal Katya Adler to German parents. So far, she holds British citizenship and belongs to the mixed ethnicity.
Concerning education, Michal Katya attended the South Hampstead High School and also studied German and Italian at the University of Bristol and graduated in 1995.
During her course, she used to work for various placements such as Reuters, Blue Danube Radio, NBC in Turkey, and at the Rome offices of The Times. Also, she was a president of the political society and started its magazine.
