An Oscar-winning director, actor, and accomplished country singer, Kevin Costner, as many would agree, is a rarity. Costner's far-reaching presence on the silver screen and small screen has conserved his household status for almost five decades now. At 68, Kevin continues to be a booming force in an industry ever-shifting.  

Kevin Michael Costner was born on January 18, 1955, in Lynwood, California, to a welfare worker mother and an electrician father. Costner made his breakout role in the 1985 film Silverado. He won his two Oscars in best picture and best director categories for his 1991 flick, Dances with Wolves.  

Kevin Costner's Wife, Christine Baumgartner, Filed for Divorce!  

Kevin Costner had it all until recently. The Oscar winner is thriving in every department of life, except in his married life. Kevin's second wife, Christine Baumgartner, who he married in 2004, has filed to divorce the actor.  

Kevin and Christine were Hollywood's one of the many low-key couples who were thought to have it all going fine. But as it turns out, the duo had issues in their marriage. Baumgartner cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce.

Christine has filed for joint custody of their kids. Moreover, she is not seeking spousal support from the actor as they have reportedly signed a prenup.

The Yellowstone actor was introduced to Baumgartner when he was married to his first wife. But it wasn't after many years that Costner and Christine paths again- Kevin was a divorced man by then, that the two started dating.

Kevin Costner married his second wife after dating for years!

Kevin Costner and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, dated for six years! Over half a decade into the relationship Kevin married Christine on September 25, 2004.  

Costner and his second wife exchanged their vows at the actor's ranch in Aspen, Colorado, in a ceremony as dreamy as it can get.   Kevin and Christine have since welcomed three children, sons Cayden, Hayes, and daughter Grace.

Years and responsibilities surely strain any relationship, and Costner reckoned it when he revealed that his marriage with Christine grew stronger during the lockdown. Praising his now-estranged wife, the Dances with the Wolves actor explained how their relationship grew during the constraint. 

Baumgartner, 49, although best known as the wife of the Oscar winner, has a stellar career of her own. She is a model and handbag designer. Christine launched her brand, Cat Bag Couture, in the early 2000s.

Fast forward to two decades, Baumgartner and her beau ended their relationship. While not finalized on paper, Kevin and his second wife remain certain that their marriage ends in a divorce.

Baumgartner has filed for the joint custody of their three kids! 

Costner's divorce proceedings come at a hard time as the actor has been going through a bump in his work as well. The actor in his late 60s is reportedly facing trouble concurring with Yellowstone's creator, Taylor Sheridan. It has set off speculation that the popular show might end after its fifth season. 

Kevin Costner's First Marriage!  

Kevin Costner was a few years away from foraying into Hollywood when he started dating his first wife, Cindy Silvia, in 1975. The duo met as fellow students at California State University- Fullerton. Yes, Kevin and his ex-wife were college sweethearts!

Silvia stood beside Costner when he was a jobbing actor, supporting Kevin in his journey to the top! And lo and behold, her ex-husband reached the pinnacle of his success with an Oscar win. But Cindy and Kevin parted ways after 16 years of marriage.  

Much remains hidden about Costner's marital bliss and hardships with Silvia. But the duo's divorce went down in the history of showbiz as an expensive split. The actor paid millions to his estranged wife after the divorce.

Costner and Cindy's divorce was settled amid the speculation that the actor was having an affair. Moreover, many sources claimed that Kevin was in a relationship with a dancer named Michele Amaral, in 1994.  

Several sources accused the actor of many infidelities. The Yellowstone actor vehemently denied the rumors, but the damage was already done. Costner had to pay Silvia $80 million in the divorce settlement.

In an interview following his divorce, Kevin said the downfall of his marriage was the hardest thing he went through.  

Kevin Costner, the Father of Seven Children!  

Kevin Costner's large brood consists of seven kids, who he had from three different relationships. When the actor is not on the set to act or direct, he is spending quality time with his large family. 

Costner exuded the qualities of a proud father and a family man when he said, "I work as a provider. I'm a father and I'm a husband, but the world doesn't revolve around me."  

The Yellowstone actor's oldest children, Annie Costner, 39, Lily Costner, 36, and Joe Costner, 35, were born to him and his first wife. And some of his first kids pursued a career in the entertainment industry.

Kevin's oldest daughters have successfully followed in his footsteps. Annie dabbled in acting at first and now co-owns the production house Sound Off Films. She is married to Danny Cox. 

Lily is an actor and musician like her father. Her acting credits include The Baby-Sitters Club, Black or White, and The Postman. As per Costner, Lily is blessed with an amazing singing talent but is not willing to venture there professionally.  

Kevin's third kid, Joe, mostly keeps away from the spotlight. Thanks to having an Oscar winner for a father, Joe has also had the experience of working on the screen. Joe acted alongside his sister Lily in The Postman and a few more of his father's flicks. Kevin's fourth kid, Liam, 26, was born to him and his brief flame, Bridget Rooney.   

The Silverado actor welcomed his three youngest, Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12, very late in his life. Costner was 52 when his second wife, Christine, gave birth to Cayden. 

Despite the actor's reluctance to venture into fatherhood that late, Costner alleged that he didn't have any choice, as Baumgartner was hell-bent on having kids.  

Costner often gushes about his little ones, and as per his many anecdotes, Cayden started showing talent and a penchant for music at an early age. Kevin said Hayes has taken an interest in sports and has a small role in his father's upcoming, Horizon. Costner's youngest, Grace, is nothing like her brothers and is only into regular girly stuff.
