It's over for Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler. After seven years of marriage, and one decade together on April 26, the pair revealed they would be separating.
The announcement which was posted on Cavallari and Jay's Instagram on Sunday confirmed that they had nothing but love and admiration for eachother." They posted a different picture with the same caption:
"With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family".
The reality TV stars have filed new papers in their divorce just weeks before this, on Wednesday. There have been reports of bad conduct following the decision, and it seems a child custody fight is heating up. As per docs, Cutler is blocking her attempt to buy a new home to live in for her and their three children.
In response to Cutler's emergency filing, she claimed that her ex-husband and his lawyer were refusing to allow their finance manager to release the funds necessary for Kristin to buy the house.
As per documents, Kristin has been looking for a new house since 2019 during a rough period in their marriage. She found a house she wanted at the time and began the process of home-buying, which Jay "never objected to." But she "decided not to purchase the house" after the couple "attempted to salvage the marriage."
After some time though, they were moving ahead with the divorce in March. And they plan how they would go about it, including their custody and living arrangements. Then Cavallari says once again resumed the home-buying process upon their return from the Bahamas. She assumed Jay would be okay with this because of his "lack of objection in November" according to the documents.
After some time, the duo who married in 2019 went ahead with the divorce in early March. And they intend, how they'd go about it including their custody and living arrangements. Then Cavallari tells the home-buying process was resumed once more upon their return from the Bahamas.
According to the papers, she thought Jay would be fine with that because of his "lack of objection in November." However, Cutler, 37, informed Cavallari, 33, that his attorney would advise their business manager not to release the funds. Kristin's attorney alleges, "This is typical of Husband's behavior towards Wife."
Nevertheless, they are now set for their children's sake aside from their disagreements. Since then, they also made some progress in their divorce, allowing for a conditional child custody agreement while they adjust their living arrangements during the quarantine.
A report says E!: They are now agreeing that Jay will allow Kristin to purchase the home she has been looking at since November of last year when they started having serious issues, which prompted her to start looking in the first place."
Currently, Very Cavallari stars live in the home but not at the same time with their boys Camden, 7, and Jaxon, 5, and daughter Saylor, 4. Kristin stays a week and then Jay stays a week.
