They are; two sisters Stacey Magiera and Cassie Magiera, and a brother Nick Magiera in Northwest suburbs. She holds an American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. Magiera attended Barrington High School where she competed in gymnastics.

 Besides, she went to the University of Alaska and completed her bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Communication in 2009. During her college, Lauren also took participate in NCAA Division I gymnastic under an athletic scholarship.
