Liz McClarnon

Elizabeth Margaret McClarnon was born in Liverpool, England, on April 10, 1981. Liz, who grew up with a penchant for singing, focused on nurturing her voice with vocal training as a teenager. She was discovered through an audition arranged by her music teacher, which ultimately led to her joining the girl group Atomic Kitten in 1997.

Personal Life and Family

Liz's life is filled with resilience and milestones. In 2023, she married Peter Cho, and after years of trying through difficult IVF processes, she gave birth in November 2025 to her first child, a baby boy. 

She has also made public other facets of her fertility struggles, including miscarriages and failed embryo transfers, to inspire her many fans facing similar issues. Her support for Everton Football Club and her charity work continue to play a major role in her life.  

Music Career and Atomic Kitten

Liz's career as a member of the highly successful Atomic Kitten, a British girl group formed in Liverpool, reached an all-time high. The group enjoyed phenomenal success with three number one singles: "Whole Again," "Eternal Flame," and "The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)." Atomic Kitten had two chart-topping albums, "Right Now" and "Feels So Good," both reaching double platinum status in sales. 

The group went on to sell more than 10 million records globally and secured a strong foothold across the UK and internationally. Liz distinguished herself by being the only member of the group to co-write songs like "See Ya," "I Want Your Love," and "Someone Like Me." This, in addition to touring, charity projects, and collaborations they had done, involves creating a track for Disney's "Mulan II" and participating in high-profile charity initiatives.

Solo Works and Acting

Aside from her work with Atomic Kitten, Liz has also released solo music, including a cover of Barbra Streisand's "Woman in Love," which reached the top 5 in the UK. She expanded her skills into acting, appearing in "Bring It On" in 2000 and then again in "Gangsters Gamblers Geezers" in 2016. 

She has also appeared on stage, performing in "Legally Blonde" and the musical "Enchanted." Liz would go on to win the TV show "Celebrity MasterChef," showing off her culinary skills and expanding her public profile.
