She had bravely battled for four years and had undergone surgery earlier in the same month to remove an AVM the size of a golf ball. 

Surrounded by her partner, Carlo, and her devoted mother, Lucy fought her illness with strength and hope until the very end. Carlo shared the heartbreaking news in an emotional Instagram story, stating Lucy was "at peace" and asking for privacy as their hearts healed. 

The fashion world mourned hard. Elite Model Management praised her strength and grace, and fan and friend tributes poured in. Her sister Jelena honored Lucy's memory with the words "my Bambi twin," which said all about the special bond they shared. Although snatched away too soon, Lucy's influence still lives on through the happiness she spreads to others.
