Mary Joan Martelly is the wife of retired professional boxer George Foreman. They exchanged their marital vows on 27 March 1985 in an intimate wedding ceremony after around a year of dating. 

The pair is blessed with five children: three sons George IV, George V, and George VI (It's not a joke; these are the real names) and daughter Leola Foreman & Natalie Foreman. 

Besides that, her husband is also the father of five other babies from his previous romantic relationships. Before Mary and George walked down the aisle, George had four short-lived marriages. 

From 1971 to 1974, he was married to Adrienne Calhoun. After divorcing from Calhoun, he dated Cynthia Lewis and walked down the aisle in 1977. They happily live together for three years and separated in 1979. 

Around a couple of years later, Mary's husband married Sharon Goodson in 1981. They divorced the same year they exchanged their marital vows. In 1982, he and Andrea Skeete got married. They lived a happy married life for three years and ended with mutual understanding in 1985. 

Mary Joan Martelly has two stepsons: George Jr. and George III, three step-daughters, Georgetta, Michi, and Freeda. Moreover, she has also mothered George's two adopted daughters: Isabella Brenda Lilja Foreman (in 2009) and Courtney Isaac Foreman (in 2012). 

Sadly, their daughter Freeda died on 9 March 2019. She was a female boxer similar to her father. The reason for her death was reported to be suicide. 

The lovebirds currently reside in Houston with their children.
