Melissa Ordway's Love Story: Who is 'The Young and the Restless' Star Married to?

A model and actress, Melissa Ordway boasts a notable profile that makes her a star in her own right. Throughout her two-decade-long and ongoing stint in the entertainment industry, she has starred and appeared in over fifty shows, and film. Melissa is, however, best recognized for portraying the rebellious Abby Newman on the long-running soap opera, The Young and the Restless.  

Born on March 31, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia, Ordway's foray into the acting field started from theatre productions. In her early 20s, the blonde had cemented a budding career in both modeling and acting, appearing in campaigns for Skechers, Old Navy, and Anchor Blue, and CBS's How I Met Your Mother, and the drama series, Privileged.

The Georgia-born actress, unlike her onscreen self, who found love very late in the show, landed her soulmate pretty early. Melissa has been happily married to actor Justin Gaston since 2012. The soap opera audience would recall the momentous story arch in 2020 when Gaston was temporarily cast as Chance Chancellor on The Young and the Restless, and as result, he and Ordway had an onscreen wedding. 

Ordway met her longtime husband on the sets of their 2011 film, Escapee. Looking back, the co-stars-turned-lovers had somewhat of a whirlwind romance, and but because it all happened organically, the two knew they were in for a long haul. Melissa married Gaston after almost a year of dating bliss on September 22, 2012, in an intimate ceremony.

The duo struggled with infertility for years after their wedding before finding the solution in adopting. In April 2016, the couple adopted their first kid, Olivia Christine. "We cannot thank God enough for blessing our family with the most beautiful, smart, fun, little ray of sunshine," Melissa said as she shared a snap on the day of Olivia's adoption.  

The couple were able to conceive a kid of their own in 2016. They welcomed their second daughter, Sophie Jolie Gaston, in December 2016. "Justin and I are thrilled about the arrival of Baby Gaston number two," the smitten parents wrote at the time, adding, "Our daughter Olivia is the joy and light of our lives, and we cannot wait to see her become a big sister."  

From sharing their career milestones to keeping fans updated on their family life, the Gaston couple have been ever-candid. On their respective Instagram, the family of four can often be spotted doing thrilling adventures or on trips away from home. "Nothing like spending long weekend in the snow," Ordway captioned alongside a carousel of pictures of her family's snowy getaway.

Just last year, the Gaston couple made a significant decision in their family life. The long-married couple announced that they were leaving their LA, a place that has been their home for over a decade. "Today, we said goodbye to a house that was filled with so many happy memories and fun times," wrote the Emmy-nominated actress.   

The beloved soap star later revealed that she and her husband had bought a plot of land in Tennessee, where their new home was already under construction. Ordway and Gaston have since shared several snippets of their new spacious home where they are determined to make a lot more memories.

Gaston navigated a significant career shift in 2008 as he competed and came 10th in the reality singing competition, Nashville Star, and also played the role of the handsome Romeo on Taylor Swift's mv, Love Story.
