Who is Mickey Kathryn Wright?

If you are a fan of Golf then, you must be aware of world Golf Hall of Fame member Mickey Kathryn Wright. She has won 82 LPGA Tours and eight major championships. We cannot deny the fact that Wright was one of the early LPGA Tour superstars and many still agree she is the greatest player of all times.

Mickey Wright was born on February 14, 1935, in San Diego, California, USA. The California girl took up golf at the age of 12. In a very short time, she won major junior tournaments. The U.S. 1952 was among those victories junior girls and the amateur world in 1954. 

For education, she joined Stanford University and studied psychology, but finished in the U.S. in 1954 as a small amateur. Women's Open, Wright decided it was time to become a professional and immediately entered the 1955 LPGA Tour. 

They say Rome was not built in a day, just like that, Winning her first tour event took her a year. After that in 1957, 1958 and 1959 she won three times each, and in 1960 she won five times.
