On February 17, 2013, Mindy McCready left her fans in tears after her sudden demise. She was an American Country singer who was known for her album 'Ten Thousand Angels'. But her career was overshadowed by her personal life and her struggles.
Gayle was born on November 30, 1975, in Fort Myers, Florida, as Malinda Gayle McCready. She was born to her parent's father, Timothy McCready, and mother Melody Gayle Inge. Personal Turmoil and Relationships
McCready became engaged to actor Dean Cain in 1997 only to break up the following year. In December of 2003, she started dating William Patrick "Billy" McKnight, an aspiring singer at the time. The cops arrested McKnight for attempted murder on McCready on May 8, 2005, when he beat and choked her.
Following the incident, McCready attempted suicide in July of the same year. People found her unconscious in a hotel lobby in Florida. Even after such distress in their relationship, they found love with each other.
The couple finds a way back to each other, and the singer became pregnant with McKnight's child. In September of 2005, while still pregnant with a child, she attempted suicide by overdosing on anti-depressants.
A New Hope
In 2006 McCready's life finds a new hope after she gave birth to her son Zander Ryan McCready in March. She seemed to be stable after the birth of her son. But this ray of new hope would not last long as on December 17, 2008, she cut her wrist. Thankfully, due to timely arrival of Paramedics Mindy lived to see her child.
On May 5, 2010, the singer again had to be hospitalized for drug overdose from Darvocet which her mother provided. She was discharged later that day.
Trouble always seemed to be two steps from McCready as in the same year, an intimate video with her ex-boyfriend, Peter went on sale by Vivid Entertainment. It's the same company which released sex tape of Kim Kardashian.
The Second Chance
After all the ups and downs in McCready's life, she found love again in Producer David Wilson. It seemed that all had settled and she's having a loving relationship with David. The couple gave birth to their son Zayne Wilson.
But Zayne wouldn't be as lucky as River Rose Blackstock to have both parents with him. On January 13, 2013, Wilson was found dead at McCready's home. The death appeared to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A few weeks after his death McCready told the "Today" show,
"I’ve never gone through anything this painful nor will I ever again go through anything this painful"
Also saying that David was her "soulmate" and "life partner." Three weeks after David's death, a judge ordered her to be evaluated at a mental institution after her father claimed at court she wasn't properly caring her children.
At the time, McKnight also tried to regain the custody of his son. He stated about her psychological state and the child's welfare and safety as his case for custody.

McCready's net worth is estimated to be $200,000 at the time of her death in 2013. She earned her money from her career as a country singer and her TV appearances. According to CNN, the singer also shot her late boyfriend David's dog before committing suicide. After her death, her two sons were initially pushed into foster care.
Affair with Roger Clemens
The New York Daily News in April 2008 reported on a possible long term relationship between McCready and Roger Clemens that began when she was 15. Clemens' attorney denied the fact and said she was only a "close family friend."
But on November 17, 2008, in an interview with Inside Edition, McCready admitted to the allegations. She further said that the relationship lasted for decades.
Trouble with law
Mindy had her fair share of trouble with the law starting from 2004 when she was arrested for using a fake prescription to buy painkiller. She was fined $4000 and sentenced to 200 hours of community service.
In 2005 she was arrested for speeding and charged for DUI and driving with a suspended license. That July, she was again accused of identity theft, unlawful use of transportation, unlawful imprisonment, and hindering prosecution.
She was detained again in July 2007 for battery against her mother in her home town. The singer was detained again later that week for a violation of her probation. She was sentenced to 1 year in jail in September for violating probation but was released in December.
