Martial Arts fans, I am here to introduce you to The Last Airbender’s Aang. The role was portrayed by American actor Noah Ringer.

Early life

Noah Ringer was born on 18 November 1996 in Dallas, Texas, the United States. As holds an American nationality and belongs to a mixed ethnic background. 

As of early 2021, Noah Ringer is 22 years old. He has the height of 5 feet 5 inches (165 cm) and has the weight of 64 kg (141 pounds). 

As far as concerned about his academic qualification, he is homeschooled. He attended the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) at the age of 10 years old.

Noah Ringer has a short-lived movie career. He only has 3 acting credits including movies like the 2012 movie The Last Airbender, and the 2011 movie Cowboys & Aliens. 

He is best known for his role as Aang in an American action-adventure fantasy film The Last Airbender. For the role, Ringer attended acting classes at the Dallas Young Actors Studio with director Linda Seto. 

Noah shaved his head for the role. After shaving his head, his canny resemblance was so similar in terms of not only personality but also looks. Moreover, his fellow artists and friends nicknamed him as Avatar. 

In August 2008, the director of The Last Airbender M. Night Shyamalan’s team sent an email to the American Taekwondo Association inviting interested students for the role of Aang. The ATA turned Noah immediately as if he was destined to play the role. For his role in The Last Airbender, Noah Ringer was nominated for two awards: Golden Raspberry Awards and Young Artist Awards. In 2011, he won the TheSkyKid.com award under the category “Coming of Age” Best Actor. 

After the movie, Noah Ringer who did not have any relation with the movie industry gained fame with a single role. A year later in 2011, he appeared in Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens as Emmett Taggart. 

After a couple of years in 2015, Ringer performed in the TV series The Art Craze. Since then, he has gone on hiatus from the entertainment industry. ‘

Noah Ringer is a martial artist. He made his career in martial arts after he joined the ATA. In December 2008, he started participating in tournaments after receiving a first-degree black belt. 

In February 2008, Aang player Ringer was awarded The Competitor of the Year for his successfully winning 25 matches: 100 medals including 80 gold. 

For the year 2008-09, Noah Ringer won the Texas State Champion in five categories like Sparring, Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons, X-Treme Forms, and X-Treme Weapons. Moreover, he even competed in the World Championships in Arkansas.
