Oscars 2020 Nominations is Filled with Surprises and Snubs!!

The season of Awards is here...! With the 77th Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards wrapped up, now it's time for Oscars.

The nominations for 92nd Academy Award are out with Joaquin Phoenix's Joker leading the way with 11 nominations. Last year in 2019, movie aficionados witnessed some of the most mesmerizing films, but not all of them received the nominations in the prestigious award show.

Along with some snubs which received some backlash, there are also some surprises in the nominations. Films like Joker, The Irishman, Once upon a time in Hollywood, 1917, and Parasite are leading the way with Little Women and Bombshell, also bagging big nominations.

Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, became the biggest surprise for the snubs by the Academy Awards. With the list packed with some fantastic Animation movies, Frozen 2 did not make the cut. Besides that, the Academy also received backlash for not nominating any female directors where Greta Gerwig, Lulu Wang, and Mati Diop were considered possible candidates.

Another failure came in Taron Egerton as he did not make the cut despite winning Golden Globes. Here is the list of the full nominations of the 92nd Academy Award:
