Who is Paul Brooke?

In 2009, one of the prominent television British actor Paul Brooke retired from the media industry after many years of media work. Some of his notable movies including Bridget Jones's Diary, The Edge of Love, and The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc.

Paul Brooke was born on 22 November 1944 in London, the United Kingdom to the British parents. The other information about his parents, family background, siblings, and as well education qualifications are not disclosed yet. Now, talking about his age, Brooke is 74 years old as of 2019. He holds British citizenship and is of white ethnicity.

Brooke started her acting career as a stage actor in 1972 starring in film Straight On till Morning as Uneasy man. The following year, he has played in many London productions such as several years as a member of Frank Dunlop's original Young Vic Company. 

Other appearances in television dramas and comedies of Brooke include Bertie and Elizabeth, Lovejoy, Foyle's War,  Kavanagh QC, Sharpe's Revenge, Midsomer Murders, Between the Lines, and Relic Hunter. In 2004, Paul also played British Conservative politician Ian Gow in  BBC series The Alan Clark Diaries.  Moreover, he guest-starred in the Doctor Who audio adventure Year of the Pig in 2006 and as well as the 1990 Mr. Bean sketch The Library. 

In 2001, he also starred as Mr. Fitzherbert in the film Bridget Jones's Diary and also miniseries Nostromo in 1997. Notably, Paul Brooke also acted Gríma Wormtongue in the landmark BBC radio adaptation of The Lord of the Rings in 1981. He worked alongside Linal Haft and Frank Mills in both the Classic and New series of Minder but playing in different roles in each.
