Community service chair of Sigma Alpha Iota, Rebecca attended Plantation High School from 2008 to 2012. She later earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Telecommunications from the University of Florida in 2015.

After graduation, Kopelman went to study in the Mississippi State University for higher studies in 2016. Three years later, she received a Master of Science (M.S.) in Geosciences degree with a Concentration in Applied Meteorology.
